The movie was good. A new genre of Tamil movie with a feel good story. And the songs were nice. It was very refreshing to see a movie with Tamil songs. I was surprised by how well the songs were done. The scenes were long but they could have been shorter. The movie had a good feel to it. My favorite scenes were the first one, and the song that was sung at the end. The movie was entertaining. It was good to see a movie with a feel good story.

The cast is superb. Saif Ali Khan is simply amazing. He's so versatile, and has never let his British accent show. The movie is a bit slow to begin with, but the first half is very engaging. Khan is the best character of the film, but the movie could have used a bit more 'talk'. However, the film is well worth seeing, especially if you like Khan or cinema.

A vicious cycle of revenge begins when the "love-sick" are hunted down and killed by their relatives. A shaadi (violence) has begun in the society and the community is in a state of war. A young boy named Kale (Amitabh Bachchan) is the leader of the "love-sick" and gets caught in the middle of the war between the "love-sick" and their relatives. The villagers set a trap to trap the "love-sick" but it gets out of control. The truth is revealed and Kale's identity is stolen. The "love-sick" decide to return Kale's identity and fight the war. They have no intention of killing their relatives and instead want to punish them for not being true to their family. Amitabh Bachchan is excellent in the leading role and he is just the right actor for the role. This is one of his best performances. The director, Shyam Benegal is also good in his role and is not the usual Shyam Benegal. The cinematography is also good. The songs by Sudha Singh are good. Shabana Azmi is good in the background and the rest of the cast is good. The story is good and the execution of the film is great. The film has a good pace and never drags. The film is an all around winner. Recommended.

I am not a big fan of M.A. Khan but I am a huge fan of his films like Aaj Ka Anta, Zindagi, Aaj Kadeena, Kaanteinand. All the films are beautiful and a must see for the man himself. If you don't like these then I'm not sure why you're watching the movie. I have watched this movie many times and it has always made me love it. I can't even explain the feeling that I get when watching this movie. The songs are great. There are songs like Hum Jhoom Bhi Bali Hai and Dil Beki Dil Hai. You don't have to have a strong stomach to watch this movie. I am just a big fan of him and I am not going to sit down to watch his other movies. This is one of his best films. I can't explain why but I love this one the most.
