This film was all action with an ensemble cast, well-written and acted, with great cinematography and excellent production values. The script is well-written and the acting is excellent. It is definitely not for the children, but there is enough violence and gore to keep it from being a "Kids" film. The production values are first-rate. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent special effects, as well as the story-telling abilities of the actors. All the actors and actresses did a very good job in portraying their characters and giving them depth. I was especially impressed with C. Thomas Howell who portrayed the villainous, alcoholic son of Sam Jackson's character. The best scenes in the film are when he is in his cabin and getting drunk. Although the effects were impressive, they weren't particularly gory. This is not a horror film, but it is a very good one.

As I watched the first 30 minutes of this movie, I was entertained. The story was good, the direction was good. I couldn't wait for it to be over. Then it began to bore me. There was so much going on that I wasn't paying attention to the film. The movie would always repeat itself, and it felt like the director was trying to twist the plot a little more every time. There was a ton of symbolism, and the movie could be over with a half hour or so, but there was no end. I was bored during the last third of the film, and the final scene was just plain stupid. I don't understand why some people are giving this film a 10. It didn't get it right. And when I say "it didn't get it right", I don't mean "it got it wrong". I mean "it just didn't get it right".

I just caught up with this movie on DVD and I must say that I was quite surprised. The story was intense and that's what I really like about it. It was well told, the actors were excellent and so was the director. This is a movie that can be watched over and over again and will remain one of my favorites for a long time to come. In fact, I will probably watch it a few more times because I still think it's a really good movie. The other thing that really impressed me was the fact that the movie has a very small budget, but the actors are all professionals and the director really knows how to tell a good story and he is an amazing story teller. I really liked the music and I thought that it was excellent. There are also some really good dialogues, some of them being funny and some of them being touching. It's one of those movies that really makes you think about what you are doing and it's also very intense, but it's a movie that you will remember for a long time. All in all, I give it 9/10

I can understand why some people who have not seen this movie are having problems with it, but I am one of those people who enjoys this movie for what it is and doesn't really care how it was made. I think most of us that are even a little bit serious about the things we think we know about these movies will see a lot of this movie and come away from it thinking they have seen a lot of things they don't, or that they are able to understand it better because they have seen it, and they can't believe it's not the way they knew. This movie is like "All Quiet On The Western Front" without the music and the explosions, and while I am sure it's going to be seen as a movie that has to be watched a certain way, for me it's just another movie about a man in a cowboy outfit finding out that in some parts of the world the wind blows and things change, and the men he knows and loves are dead. That's about it really. I think that's what makes this movie so popular, it's about a man and a cowgirl on the road who are never going to find out what has really happened to them and their loved ones. The Cowboy is getting more and more disoriented and unsure about everything he thinks he knows, until he finds out that maybe all the things he thought he knew are wrong, and if he doesn't take the next step, they may never be the same again. There are lots of elements of this movie that are all around us every day, and all around us in the world. That makes me happy. This movie is about having an honest opinion on things and having the courage to face your fears, and the courage to make decisions on your own without anyone telling you what to do. I think this movie shows us that we should not be afraid of the things that can happen to us, but rather that we should be afraid of the things we can't stop. The only thing that would make me very sad is if people thought this movie was bad, and it didn't have the good effects of the movie I'm trying to think of. That would be sad.

Okay, the first time I saw this film, I had seen it in the theater, and had seen it so many times that I just assumed that it was a great film. But the movie made a great impression on me, so I rewatched it, and I thought it was great. It was really well done, and I think it was really effective for it's time. It's no great movie, but it's a very effective movie. It's very much in the vein of Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon, except instead of the villain's young wife being the killer, it's the older and wiser man's wife, played by Maureen Stapleton. The first half of the film is very good, and the second half is very good, although I thought that it was a bit over the top in the last half of the film. There are many very dramatic and effective scenes that keep you in the film, and you will enjoy this film immensely. But, I also think that the story is a little bit over the top at times. The first half of the film is very good, but the second half is a little bit over the top. But, it's still a good film.
