I have to admit, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this film. The trailer didn't really do it for me. But I went to see it and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a very enjoyable film. The plot was very engaging and the characters were well developed. The performances were very good. The writing was very good. The film has a good message and it is a very funny movie. It has a lot of great moments. The plot is very good and it is entertaining. I highly recommend this film. I give it an 8 out of 10. I would recommend this film to anyone who wants a good comedy.
The best thing about this movie is the acting. Everyone is excellent, and even if they don't have much to work with, they are able to give some of the best performances of the year. The movie is full of clever, witty dialog and the actors are able to carry it off. The thing I love most about this movie is the idea. The movie is set in a high school where all of the students are high school seniors, and the whole school is struggling to make it to prom. The idea is that each of the students have to make their way to the prom to save their friendship and their lives. The movie is full of quirky ideas, and is full of good performances. I recommend this movie to anyone who wants a good time at the movies, or just a good movie to watch.
A charming and touching film, this one about a teen girl who discovers she has a very special talent. The story is well crafted, the acting is excellent and the movie is full of charm. There are some moments of sadness, but there are also many moments of hilarity. I also like the scene where the family decides to get rid of the old house. It was so funny. If you want a film that will make you smile and laugh, you will not be disappointed. You will also be entertained.
This film was a great surprise. It's a nice take on the teen-aged horror genre. The actors did a great job and the story was very interesting. I was really impressed with the film. I think this is the best film of the year so far. The only problem I had with the film was that it was a little bit long. I would have liked to see more of the characters, but overall, it was a great film. I really recommend this film. I would give it a 8/10.
The Edge of Seventeen is the story of a young girl who comes to the US from Ireland. Her mother is a drunkard who is living in a loveless marriage with her boyfriend, and her father has died. Her mother is also living in a loveless marriage with her boyfriend, and her father has died. Her mother is an alcoholic and has a baby in her lap. Her father is a deadbeat who has no idea what to do with his life. This movie is not as bad as the critics say. I was pleasantly surprised that this movie was not as bad as the critics say. The acting was good, the story was good, and the movie was enjoyable. I think this is a movie that will be watched by many. This movie is a great date movie and is worth watching. The movie is not perfect, but I think it is better than most movies.
So obviously I can't give this film an 'A'. However, I will give it a 'B' for being a very good one. I can definitely see why a lot of people didn't like this movie. It seems like it takes some beating and has the story of a teenager getting their life together. It's hard to tell if the humor is intentional or not. The characters all seem to be gay, because their whole lives are one big teasing and teasing. From the characters like Ty (Hailee Steinfeld) and Lebron (Kendrick). I am not sure if these characters are actually gay because there is something about their personalities that shows that they are very gay. I don't know if the humor is intentionally done or not because I don't see any intent. But then again, the characters are teens and I don't really know what they are doing. One of the characters Lebron says "I am coming out." He says this several times. It seems to me like that character is gay. There is some strange things about this movie that I think most people don't get. If you are not in school and don't have friends, you are going to think the world is upside down. Like the times I think that Lebron, Ty and his friends are outcasts or something. They are only with each other because they are social misfits. But if you are in school and have friends, then you will really enjoy this movie. This is also the reason why I think it is good because they make it so hard for teenagers to be in school, especially with their friends. There is something funny about it. I like the fact that this movie has two different goals. One being to show that teenagers can be gay. And another one is to be funny. I am glad this movie has humor. The acting was great and it just shows that it is really hard to be in school and there is nothing wrong with the world. There are a few other things I can think of to mention. But it seems like the main goal of this movie was to make some people laugh.
I was disappointed with this movie, as I expected much more. I was hoping for a good movie, but I was not expecting much. I liked the story, but I expected more. It is a good movie to watch if you are bored and have nothing else to do. It is not a great movie, but it is a good movie. I will give it a 7/10, because it was good.
I am a teenager and so you can imagine my reaction when I heard the plot and was not too familiar with the characters. I do not know whether it is because the plot is that lame or because it is that dweeby I was just curious to see what happened. It was predictable and not funny. Also, it was just not good. I just wish there were more scenes with Forrest and the guys at school. Also, I did not like the ending, it felt like a cheap trick and the same thing happened in Empire Records. I was also not a fan of the music in this movie. For example, I felt that they had to show the girls leaving the song which was just kind of dumb. The movie is one that I will not watch again because it is not my cup of tea and I did not like it. One thing I will definitely do is save my money for Star Wars VII and I will not see this movie in theaters. At least I won't be forced to pay anything.
I saw this film at the weekend. I was expecting a funny comedy, but it really wasn't that. There were some funny moments, but the humour wasn't in the right places. There were a few funny bits, but not many. The film kept me watching until the end. I really enjoyed it, but I could've done without the whole stupid teen stuff. However, the plot was good and there was a surprising amount of violence.
Tara, I had read the many reviews before I finally got to see it.and all were terrible. I had not read the book, so I was expecting something along the lines of "A Star is Born", but with all the "sex and racism" themes. This movie didn't use the racial and sexual themes, just a small amount of them. I mean, it didn't need it. The movie was focused on the relationship between Mark, Shannon, & Taylor, the friendship between Mark & Joey, and the teens, except for Mark, who was left out. But I liked the fact that it was done with an honest feel, and no pity factor. It was done with a show of a real group of people who had been through a lot together, and it showed a lot of true friendship. And the two scenes in the beginning of the movie, were great. I've watched this movie 10 times since I saw it the first time. I'm sure it will be a film that I will see again, for a long time. I recommend this movie to anyone who has been through a similar situation to me, who wants to feel like she/he is in that movie. Also, a mention for the songs: J. Cole's new song "Big & Rich", and the song "Stars", performed by Shawn Mendes. I would give this movie an A. Michael Keaton, this movie. I'll see it again.
I'm very much aware of the criticism that "the Edge of Seventeen" got from the critics and various audiences alike. But I never saw it on the big screen. And I never saw it with my parents. So I don't really know what they think of it. And then, you know, there are people who have a strong emotional connection to "the Edge of Seventeen". And I'm one of them. So it's not a fair comparison. But I do think this film was very well done. The performances are all very good. Most of the performances were very good. The story is also very good. And I liked that it was different and original. It felt a bit forced at times, but it was the way I always want a film to be. I know it's not a masterpiece. It's not exactly a masterpiece. But it's good. It's good for what it is. And it is also very nice to see John Krasinski back. I think he's amazing. If it wasn't for his performance in the film, I would say this was the best he has ever done. And I don't think he would even be here as he is now. So he was great in this. I thought it was a very sad and touching film. And it reminded me of a lot of times. Like when the boys, Kagan (Kareem Goldsbie) and Foy (Scott Michael Campbell) were going to their car and they were trying to look cool at the store, I had the feeling of watching that scene from a different perspective. I think it's sad. But I also found it very moving. And I think it's also good. I found it very interesting. The music is also very nice. I thought it was very good. I really enjoyed the music. I like that sort of music. It is good. So I thought it was a very good film. But it's not a masterpiece. I think that it's a good film. There's no argument to be made to suggest this is a masterpiece. It is not exactly a masterpiece. But it was good. It was good. I liked it. I enjoyed it. And I liked it a lot. So, I think I will say "the Edge of Seventeen". But don't get me wrong. I think it is a good film. It's a very good film.
I honestly don't understand how anyone can complain about this movie. It's not exactly like the ones from "The Room", but it's a good one. With a concept that's been done before, it still stands up. It's funny in a good way and in an easy way. I could just imagine a family sitting around the dining table, having a good laugh. And if they don't have a family, they will be the one laughing and watching the movie, as the result is so fun. The characters are nice to see in this movie, especially Adam Sandler. He really does deserve to get to the top again. Of course, I'd still recommend "This Is the End". It's the best movie ever made and I also like it a lot. Maybe it'll be even better than "This Is the End".
The film is great! So many ideas, it was great. There were not much in the way of flashy camera work, but that's the movie. The last ten minutes and the end of the film were not as good as the first half, but still very good. Especially when it comes to that second scene between Mary and the doctor, I just loved it. All the actors did a great job. All of them, from the twins to Paul, played their parts perfectly. The movie is worth to be watched. Hope you have enjoyed it as much as I did.
This movie is not the best picture ever, nor is it for teenagers. But for teenagers who find it too hard to grasp complicated emotions and concepts in the real world, this movie will satisfy. They will finally understand what "life's not about beating people" means. There will be no boredom. But for these "somewhat" intelligent ones, there will be more than enough answers to things, such as "is there an afterlife?" and "what's going on with this guy's ghost?". So, you don't have to be a 16-year-old teenager to have a good time.
.BUT I didn't notice until I read this "7" rating. It's the worst film I've seen in ages. I don't even think that's true. It's actually a deep, well-paced comedy that will get the laughs at a high volume (or low volume). The trailers really hype it up, so the few key messages that are very important to the story will be delivered in a way that makes you laugh. I would have liked to have seen a little more depth into the "love" relationship, but it's clear that the writers were trying to leave some questions unanswered. The film could have used some additional talking, but you'll be glad you read this review. It's really hard to take away from a movie that you'll actually like, but this film really makes you laugh. It's what you think it's going to be and then you're surprised at how much you actually liked it. It's a bit of a misnomer to say this is a funny movie. It's not a good movie. It's not a great movie. It's actually a nice, intelligent movie. It's a fun movie and that's what counts. If you get a chance to see it, go see it.
I am a teen and this movie is really funny. I was laughing the whole time. It was a great movie and I recommend it to all teens. It was funny and I like it.
I really enjoyed this movie. It is a comedy, and a lot of this movie was based on my kid's ideas. But I felt this movie was at least better than "Cheaper by the Dozen" (the one that I saw back in 1983). I think you must know that if you do not have kids, you have to look for movies like "Edge of Seventeen" and "Cheaper by the Dozen", because they are similar, but they are not as good as "Cheaper by the Dozen". So, I can understand that some people didn't really enjoy this movie, but I loved it. A lot of the movie is just for fun. It is pretty true to life. And most of the other comments said that this movie was totally disgusting, but I don't think that is true. This movie is really pretty tasteful. It isn't to bad, actually. But I think it is appropriate for children's age. It doesn't really go for dark humor. And although I didn't love the music in the movie, it was actually not bad. I don't think there is much of a difference between the two movies. I think the writers did a good job on this movie. I like this movie because it is funny, but also because it is kind of realistic. It is a little bit low-budget, but it is a great movie. I have never seen a better movie with teenagers, and I don't think there are any teenagers who can't enjoy it. If you really don't like kids, I don't think you need to see this movie, but if you have kids and you don't mind that it is not exactly like real life, I think it is a really good movie.
The script was good but I wasn't really impressed with the whole film. It was okay but not outstanding. There were also a lot of little problems in the film. The last third of the film really dragged. Then the film turned into a little farce. I'm glad they decided to get to the point and not continue on with the "inside joke". I don't think the film was worth the extra 3 minutes I gave it. There were so many things that could have been done with the film and at least done them in a good way. I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone who isn't into all the references and the themes. It is good but not really outstanding. Overall, it's a decent film.
Vaguely reminiscent of the 1950s, a film that is perfect for the children and the tweens, but sadly lacking in the same context of the '50s. The story is of four friends in the eighth grade. They are the "old girls," the "young girls," and the "frolic boys." They create one of the great cinematic games in a school game room, and we watch as they all have to make each of the ridiculous quips that must be made, in order to win a game. Inevitably, one of the "old girls" gives in to the pressure, and decides to quit, giving up her partner. The four losers seek advice from their friends, as to how they should proceed in the game. Meanwhile, the "young girls" are left with the dilemma of following the rules, while the "frolic boys" try to emulate the "old girls" and win the game. It's an extremely simple, if absurd tale that evokes the '50s style of film, but with some pretty amazing technical aspects and talent behind it. The acting is fine, but the film is a bit too much of a milieu of the '50s, to be able to achieve its full potential. But then, this film isn't about taking itself too seriously.
This movie is very funny and very predictable. But, what's funny is the logic of the movie. You don't really know what's going to happen. My comment is not to praise this movie, but I'm not an actor. I'm not a special effects guy. I like a good story and plot.
There's a phrase that goes, "If you don't like the old people in the movie, you don't like the movie." 'Trainspotting' is really an insult. What's the point of this movie, really? If you want a real depiction of the London underground, then watch 'Dinsbury Park' instead. There's a bit more depth, but the characters are interesting enough, and the landscape is amazing. The sub-titles for the original Japanese version (1990) are just dreadful. English is becoming the lingua franca of the planet. British Directors like Danny Boyle are making movies that are almost incomprehensible, but have more depth than 'Trainspotting'. 'The School of Rock', based on a British song, is a surprisingly moving film.
I liked it. The funniest thing about this movie is that it's just plain stupid. The movie is basically about 5 teens who get in trouble for going to a party and then get in trouble for going to the party again. The music, the dialogue, the bad-assery of the teens, and the good-assery of the adults that play themselves all seem to have been done by the same person. It's just a shame that they couldn't manage to pull it off. While it's hard to enjoy a movie that involves high school, it can be done quite well and is something I wouldn't mind watching again. 7/10
I've seen this movie about a dozen times, and I still find it funny. It's not a masterpiece, but it's not really bad either. The story is really stupid, but the actors and the screenplay make it really funny. The actors are really good, especially Zoe Kazan and Jamie Lee Curtis. The characters are really stupid, but the script makes it funny. The ending is really stupid, but the comedy makes it worth it. It's really stupid, but it's also funny.
I was expecting this to be the typical teen movie with all the typical teen problems, but it was really good. It's a good story, with a good cast. The story is about a girl named Haley who's parents are getting divorced. Her brother is getting married and she's not ready to move out of her parents house. Her parents decide to put her up in a hotel. She meets a guy named Ethan who works at a video store and she falls in love with him. She doesn't know he's gay but they start to have a relationship. The movie is really good, the acting is good, the story is good, and the music is good. It's a really good movie. I recommend it to everyone. I gave it a 7/10.
I have to say, this film is a bit like a British version of "The Shawshank Redemption". It has a very good story, but the acting is very uneven, the pacing is very uneven and the characters are very very odd. I was very surprised to see that the film was not nominated for an academy award. I would have been very happy with it if it had. It's a good movie, but it is a little strange. It's a good film, but it is a little strange.
I'm not sure what's wrong with the critics. This film is actually pretty good. The acting is good, the plot is pretty good, and the story is good. But the only thing I can say that it's not good is that it is not good enough to be a good film. There are parts of the film that are very touching and very funny. The ending was also a little bit disappointing, but that's probably just me. I'm not sure if it's because the film is not a good one, or because the ending was a little bit disappointing. Either way, it's still a good film. I'd recommend it to people who like romantic comedies, but not to people who are looking for a good movie. It's not a perfect film, but it's a good one.
I found this movie to be a nice change of pace from the usual teen fare. I don't know why it's getting such bad reviews, it's a decent movie with a great message. The movie is based on the life of 18 year old Grace, played by Haley Joel Osment. Grace's mother, played by Jena Malone, is a single parent and her daughter is being treated by a group of friends, who are in a relationship. Grace's father, played by Cameron Bright, is a successful writer and the movie focuses on his relationship with Grace. The movie is also about Grace's love for her boyfriend, who is dating a girl. She is being taken advantage of by her friends and her father, who is also her father's friend. I also liked the story and the message. It was funny, sad, and it made me think. I also liked the actors in the movie. Haley Joel Osment was great as Grace, and I was really surprised that he was good at playing the part. He was able to capture the innocence of the character, and make her really likable. I also liked the way that he portrayed the relationship between Grace and her boyfriend. It was a really good movie. I don't think it was as good as the book, but I still think it was good. I think it was a good movie for the teens to watch, and it's a good movie to watch with your friends. I give this movie a 7/10.
I'm a huge fan of the original, and have been since I first saw it in the theater. I was a little skeptical when I heard the cast was returning, but I was so pleasantly surprised. The whole cast was great, and I loved the chemistry between all of them. The story was great, and the humor was great. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen the original, and to anyone who hasn't seen the original.
I'll start by saying that I know nothing about the real-life story behind this film. I've never read the book, and never have, so I can't make any comparisons. Still, it's been a few years since I saw the movie, and I've recently checked out the online stories and conversation that's followed this film. Now I understand what the movie is about, and the reason for the real-life story. In part, it's a story about a 17-year-old boy's struggle to succeed academically, and his inability to deal with a school bully. Also in part, it's about the consequences of bullying, and the difficult choices a young teenager has to make about using school as a weapon to try and deal with these problems. What I like about this movie is that it makes a big deal about the weight and pressure that these situations place on the teens. It's clear to me that what they felt was similar to what the bullied teen was feeling. The bullies constantly underline the seriousness of their actions, and force this student to become the meanie they're all trying to bully him into. He's forced to feel the weight of the world. He must do something. This does present some issues, but it's really about growing up and figuring out what's important, and what isn't. For a lot of kids, it can be a huge burden. It's about making up for lost time. It's about the importance of education. It's about being able to pick your battles. All the problems that these kids deal with are right there for those who need them. As a result of this, the bullying is a big part of the story. The way that the principal deals with the situation is very real, and handled very well. The moral of the story is one that I think a lot of people could identify with. It's about giving up on life and accepting that life doesn't always go to plan. So many movies tend to do this, but they really don't do it as well as this one. It's all about choosing to accept the things in life that you have the potential to have, and realizing that the school and the school system are not going to do anything about it, and just taking responsibility for your actions, instead of blaming the school and the school system. That's where it's a bit easier for someone to deal with, rather than just locking up and blaming yourself for everything that happens. I've had a couple moments where I felt like I was going to walk out of this movie, but that was because I felt like I could deal with the first act a little better. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. This is a really well-made movie that's worth a look. If you want to see an older and darker version of this, you could check out the TV show Penny Dreadful. It also suffers from the same problems of something like this happening to a school. It's not as true to life, but the tone is a lot more grim.
It is not often that I find myself going back to see a film again, but I did this time, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I saw this film at the premiere, and I was very impressed. The film is a very funny, very original, and very entertaining film. The characters are very well developed and the actors are very good. I thought the film was very funny, very original, and very entertaining. It is not often that I have seen a film that is so entertaining and so funny, but this film is one of those films. I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoys comedies, or anyone who likes the genre of comedy. I am glad that I saw this film, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a film that is entertaining and funny. 8/10
When I saw this film, I was really impressed. I thought it was a great comedy. The characters were great, the acting was great, and the story was great. It was funny, exciting, and told a good story. It seemed like a real character-driven film. The only problem I have with the film was the ending. I think it was a little hard to swallow and a little out of left field. I think everyone would've liked the ending better, so I'll talk about the good. I really liked the scene where they broke up the middle-school dance. The camera work is also really great. I like how there's only one shot where the camera shakes in every scene. The best part about this film was the ending. I think the ending was really good, and kind of off-putting. I think if they had stuck to the story a little bit more, this film would've been even better. I really liked this film, and I think you should see it.
At first, I thought that this movie was terrible. However, I saw the movie 2 weeks after its release and I just could not get over how funny it was. I am not a big fan of A Star Is Born but this movie really knocked it out of the park. Most people think that the musical was a big success but I don't agree. I think it was probably just a huge hit because of the music and the script and also because of the story. It is definitely not a hit. It is very hard to not like this movie. I think the cast is wonderful and that their performances are wonderful. Everyone who was in this movie performed fantastically. This is a movie that I think everyone should see and try to not be so critical of it.
I enjoyed this movie. It was a great movie to take a break from the stress and hustle of the life we currently live. I saw the movie with my husband who has a lot of faith in God and Christianity, but he found the movie offensive. He didn't want to be taken in by the movie. He said that it was a gross-out movie with no point and no meaning. I agree with him, I think the point was that it shows that not all people of this generation will make it to adulthood. And that you can still have friends that you love.
I'm guessing that most of the people who have a problem with this movie are the ones that have a problem with sex, and sex is the main part of the movie. They see it as having a porn-like aspect to it. As a female, I don't care if this is a movie about sex, because this movie is about girl-friends, teen-ages, sexual issues, and the stuff that is really out there and only teenagers can understand. Although I don't see this as a "rape" movie, because that would be stupid, as well, there is a lot of sexual stuff in this movie, and its so graphic, and in a lot of ways it reminds me of porn, and I don't even think it would be the right word, because I'm not a sexual person at all, but I do get that it reminded me of it, because they are the same kind of movies. So there you go, I'm just giving a review, and if you have no problems with sex, and if you like the things I am saying, you will like this movie, but if you don't like the movie, then you will just be jealous, so be careful what you are saying about it. Overall, I liked it a lot, it's a great movie that can make you laugh, and also make you think. It is not a great movie, but it's worth it, because I really liked it, and I thought it was very good. I don't know if I'm being rude, but I would rate this movie a 10, it deserves that. Don't watch this movie if you are easily offended, I'm just kidding. It is really hard to talk about this movie, because it's too much. I think that it is very underrated, but I don't see it getting a perfect score. I think it will do well. See it, and judge for yourself, but I don't think it deserves to be in the top 250.
I didn't go in expecting to like this movie and I didn't even see it's critics. The film was based on a true story and had all the same elements as a story about a group of kids in high school. This movie has a lot of humor and the story was interesting and fresh. This movie is also based on a true story and is very interesting and the characters are realistic. I also enjoyed the movie because of the many funny jokes that were in the movie. It also has a great and realistic ending. I thought the movie was very well written and directed. The story and the characters are realistic and so is the humor in the movie. The humor was very appropriate for this type of movie. I did have some laughs. I also enjoyed that the film makers used humor that is very appropriate for the times that the film is set. The film makers did an excellent job on the casting of the kids in the movie and on the entire cast of the movie. The actors were very good. I thought the actors did a great job in their roles. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a movie about high school, teens, and funny comedy. The actors did a good job with their roles. I would give this movie 8 out of 10 stars.
If you loved "Sideways" and want to see a film that is so much more than that then "The Edge of Seventeen" is a great pick. If you didn't like the movie or think it was trash then maybe you should rent it from a friend who would give you a high rating.
This is a smart film about the modern teens of today. A really fun film!
The movie has a wonderful ending. For once, the story is not "school and life" but "life and school" and the movie has the distinction of being a complete teen movie, with all the "coming-of-age" aspects of each character. I thought the character of Penny was particularly good. She was lovable, kind, honest and creative. Penny was the epitome of a "grown-up". She had that natural, sweet-natured, bubbly personality that most people possess. In addition, the movie is very inspirational. The final scene, when Penny and her mom say their goodbyes to her classmates, and each woman (who is either the best friend or best teacher) hugs her, is a wonderful scene. Although I don't want to give too much away, the movie is packed with great actors. They are all talented in their own way, and they all bring their characters to life. (Remember the guy who can't shut up, and the guy who says "I'm going to the city for a while"? See him.) It's also inspiring, because it's true. And, if you haven't seen it yet, make sure you do.
Liam Neeson, a Hollywood star who has been in some of the worst movies of the past decade, is in a post-postmodern masterpiece. This movie is the best of the year so far. It is all about the teen angst, the "puberty" of adolescence and the death of innocence. The only flaw is that it's a bit overlong. There are too many scenes that drag on. However, this is the best film of the year so far. This is a must see for everyone. A really great film.
Somewhat unlike other teen movies in the genre, there is a great deal of time spent on the teens developing their personalities, their emotions, their thoughts. Although I know people who don't think that much of this film, it is so true to life that you are left stunned. I hope the others who see this film enjoy it as much as I did. Although I am not too young to remember this film, I was, at the time, going through the same feelings I had. That being, teenage angst. I could relate to the feeling that I had for years and years. Seeing it today, I am definitely not ashamed of the time I spent watching it. Also, I have been a fan of Daniel Radcliffe since Harry Potter came out. He is absolutely amazing in the film. As an English teacher myself, I feel like I had to hold my own and show his talents. Though I have not seen him in a movie since Harry Potter, I feel like I am a better person for having seen this movie. In a year where there is no big name to add to the list, I feel like I have seen two great actors in this movie. It's almost like I had a second life after seeing it.
This is not a family film, and while there are some scenes that are really funny and bring tears to the eyes of the audience, this is not the film for those looking for a family film. The story is about a young girl named Gwen, played by Emma Watson, who moves into the middle of nowhere town and gets caught up in the drug scene and, in doing so, loses her parents and her life. It is a very good story that will keep you entertained the entire time you watch it. There are some really good lines that the audience will find themselves saying after watching this film. The plot is very well developed and is one of the reasons why this film is a must-see. The acting is also very good and it is not a bad film at all. I have seen this film a couple of times now and I would recommend it to anyone who has never seen a good film. It is a must-see and a very good film.
I am a 14 year old who lives with my mom and stepdad. I went to this movie with my mom because she wanted to see a movie with good acting. I thought it would be a very good movie, I was wrong. My mom said "it was just a little too long and that's not what a movie is about." She told me "I think the mom is right" and went to her room. She returned 20 minutes later and said "I just want to say that she was right." My mom said "I think you should see it again because I think you should like it." I sat there with my mouth open because I did not understand what she meant. The movie is about a girl named Halsey. She has the worst parents in the world and she does not have a father. She is sent to a private school where she meets a handsome nerd named Jim. He is the head of her school. He shows her how to be a girl and what girls do. She goes home to her mom and dad. She is upset because she has not had a boyfriend in two years and is in a dateless relationship. She goes to her friends and they say that she is just being hasty because her mother does not like to listen to her. She goes to a high school that has a guy named Tanner and his best friend. She goes to Tanner's house. She runs into Jim. He is on his way to see his girlfriend and gets her phone number. He talks to her and they start to hang out. Jim and Tanner go out and get drunk. They drive off into the woods and make out. After this the two say they are going to take a shower. She asks if she can use the restroom and he says no, but he changes his mind. She gets mad at him and takes him home. She watches him shower and kisses him. They have sex and then he leaves. She thinks it was a one time thing. She goes to her home and finds her father's tape that he took of her and her mother. She wants to see it. Jim tells her that he knows she was not supposed to see it and it is not a good movie. He says that she should watch it again. She decides to watch it again and she likes it better than she did when she was younger. She is happy that she has friends like Tanner and Jim. Her mother thinks she is too judgmental and ends up fighting with her father. My mom went to the movie with her and all the comments she got from her were that she is stupid and that she is not like a lot of people that go to movies. She said that she should see a movie. I was not really into the movie and I did not like it. I would not go to the theater to see it again because of that. I think it would be good for someone who is older. I would not recommend this movie to anyone. I am not really sure how it would make you feel. This is a pretty good movie to watch if you want to laugh and you want to cry. This is not a movie that you would want to take your mom to. If you want to watch a movie, go to the theater and rent one or buy one, but this is not one of them.
I am not really familiar with the book but this movie does a pretty good job of showing the characters as they are in the book. I think some of the cast could have been better. For example, Ellen Page could have been more confident in her acting abilities. But I think that's not really the point of this movie. If you are looking for a drama about teenage girls and make up, you might want to read the book. If you are looking for a movie that is really about teenagers in an unconventional way and gives you a real insight into them, read the book.
I'm not a big fan of Amy Adams, and I didn't think that this movie would be much different. The movie did deliver the goods. It was fun, it was fun to watch, and it was fun to be there. The actors were great. All in all, I give this movie a 9. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to see a movie and have a good time. And if you're a fan of either of these actors, go see it.
I'm a big fan of Zach Braff's work and think that he is one of the best actors working today. His previous work was the Scary Movie franchise, and since then, he has continued to be a popular actor. However, this film is different from his previous work. The film is very entertaining and I think it is a lot better than the Scary Movie franchise. In fact, I really enjoyed this film. It has a lot of laughs, but also has a lot of emotion and some really touching scenes. I recommend this film to anyone that enjoys comedy, romance, or has a heart.
The Edge of Seventeen is a good film with good characters and a very enjoyable script. The only problem is that the performances are a little wooden. Natalie Portman is very strong in her role. While Gary Oldman plays a good supporting role. Overall, this film has a very good message. The tone is somewhat pessimistic. The themes of teen depression, the hopelessness of trying to find a way out of a small problem, and the friendships of kids to help each other are all present. There is a theme of "pride" in the film. A group of teens who are suffering from depression find a way to get back to normal life. It is not a happy ending, and it is not a happy beginning. It does not mean the students are losers or that they should be ashamed of themselves. There is a reason they are the way they are. The message of the film is not for everyone, but for people who are open minded and open to new ideas and creative expression.
I had been looking forward to seeing this movie for a long time, and finally got the opportunity to see it at the theater last night. I thought it was a very good movie. The characters in the movie were very likable, and the actors did a great job portraying the characters. This movie reminded me of "This Is The End" in that they seemed to have a "weird" relationship that I thought was portrayed in the movie, but it was actually very believable. I was very disappointed that the movie didn't go further than what was shown in the trailers. I thought it was a very good movie and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes movies with a heart.
When I first saw the trailer for this movie I had to make sure I saw it. I was very excited to see it. I had seen the movie two years earlier. I thought it was great. So I decided to watch it again the other night. What a great movie. It's a different take on the teen genre. It has an incredible soundtrack, great acting, and it's so funny. It was such a great movie to see again and again. It made me laugh so much. I think it's one of the best movies of the year. So go see it.
I was looking forward to seeing this movie, and the first thing that I noticed was that I was interested in how Ryan Gosling, the lead character in this movie, played the character of the struggling, 15 year old Josh Hartnett. I didn't think he could pull it off. I did enjoy the movie, but it definitely isn't Gosling's best work. Although, I did enjoy the final 10 minutes. I do believe this is Gosling's best role yet. He shows his range, and he's really good. Also, I liked him in the comedy roles he had before. I also enjoyed the role of the movie's villain. I like the idea of him being a real-life "bad guy" in this movie. However, I still believe that Gosling's best movie performance is still Creed, which was released last year. Overall, I would say that this is a good movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. It has a great cast, and it is a good movie that I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a movie to watch. I give it a 8/10.
When I saw "A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas", I didn't even know it was a special. But I was interested in it, because it was a bit more sophisticated than "A Christmas Carol" (the first movie), and it seemed more intelligent than "A Christmas Carol". I'm sure I will miss the other two Christmas movies, but "A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas" made me think it is a good Christmas movie. For a while, the movie was boring. Then the "trash" idea happened, and the movie became fun again. In my opinion, the movie was good because of the brilliant idea of the trash idea, and the genius script writing. In the end, I was disappointed because the script was not good enough to make it a good movie. I loved this movie, but it could have been better. I suggest everyone to see it if you have not seen it yet, because you will not regret. 8/10
You're an average high school senior, normal, but not a total loser. You know everyone in your school. You're just starting to accept who you are. This is where "The Edge of Seventeen" comes into play. You are starting to realize that you're going to end up at a school where there are no seniors. So you have to find the best way to get in so you can do your first senior prank, but don't have any one to go with you. The beginning of the movie is very good and has you in suspense, and helps to build up to this ending. You go back and forth in time, and see how people that are going to be senior students in a few weeks realize the real trouble is already started. The real awkward and terrifying thing about "The Edge of Seventeen" is the fact that your parents don't know what you are. The truth is that your parents have never known what you are really doing for them. I think the key to a good movie is where they find the essence of a person and deal with the emotional conflict and feelings that they must cope with as their kid grows up. I think "The Edge of Seventeen" has that. It's not that scary and in fact I didn't find it to be too bad. It was a good movie. It was okay. I think this is another movie that will keep you interested in learning about life and how to deal with things. You might think about stuff like that once a week.
Do not listen to the criticism on this movie.I give it 7 of 10.I loved the movie and all the actors. They were funny and very real.If you don't like this movie, you didn't understand the movie. If you liked it, you must be younger than 16 years and have watched a lot of movies. If you were a teen when the movie came out, you'll love it.It's a quirky comedy that makes you laugh and put your feet up.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and can't really see why this film wasn't better known. The only real question is, does anyone notice that the language, sex and drug use seem to be a direct reaction to their target audience (teenagers)? It was also interesting to see a young Elle Fanning as a hot-headed teenage punk, and a cool, full-figured Alyssa Milano as a strong, glamorous woman who takes her work very seriously. Yay movie!
Some spoilers. It's a really good movie. It's funny. There's great acting, and the characters are likable. It also stars Seth Rogen, I have to say I like his movies, but this is not the same. If you want to see a movie about growing up in the 60's and how people did stuff like that, skip this one. It's about two teens who meet each other through an odd internet site where they could be discovered. They both seem to have a lot of fun trying to make their mark on the world. But I find it very hard to connect with any of the characters, and there is no real story. There's really no real plot, and I have to wonder why they kept going and going and going. It's a nice film for watching, but it's not the same as other Seth Rogen's movies. In fact, this one isn't a Seth Rogen's movie. This is the Seth Rogen's movie.
The Edge of Seventeen is an under-rated romantic comedy which holds its own against other teen films of the same ilk, such as Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead. But where Things to Do in Denver is self-consciously funny, sly, and uplifting, the film of The Edge of Seventeen is sullenly dark, poorly shot, and exceptionally forgettable. The plot revolves around an off-the-grid teenager (Jack Black) who spends his spare time in a mall to do heroin, keeping a diary of his personal life. When he meets a new girl (Ellen Page) in the mall, her connection is all wrong and the two are bound to become friends, especially when the deal-breaker turns out to be a drug dealer. But is it the drug dealing? What the hell is this movie? Well, it has a basic plot, a cliched situation, and pretty much nothing else. It's a romance, an affectionate comedy, and a sci-fi film all rolled into one. So in theory, it works pretty well. The movie has all of the ingredients to be a spectacular romcom, but it falls short of being anything other than.a mediocre romcom. And while Jack Black is very entertaining, it is clear that he is not as adept in the lead role as he would like to think he is. He is, at best, an okay performance. Ellen Page is effective, but can't make you forget she is an actress. And in a movie that needs to portray a theme of drug dealing, it is hard to believe that a major theme of the movie would be drug dealing. Also, it is hard to suspend your belief that a person is running heroin from the corner of their eye when they were a teenager. And in that movie, this character's drug use was treated seriously and it was portrayed in a way that made you like the character, not like the character was an alcoholic. But The Edge of Seventeen is more of a charming romantic comedy, and it relies more on its central character and simple over-the-top humor. The script is forgettable, the acting is above-average, the pacing is off, the special effects are impressive. But it is a damn enjoyable movie. I was genuinely intrigued by the movie. It does take you to places and you know you are in for a good time. This is a one-note movie that is sweet and sweet, then you expect a fourth wall break from the script and everything unravels. But no, you see nothing, you're not surprised. The characters are dull, and it is evident that they are not all memorable. So when the "things" happen, it's not all that interesting. And when things happen that are a little like falling in love, the movie is just about as sappy as you can get. But there is some character work here that is good. Jack Black is good, as he was always good, and while it is difficult to believe that an off-the-grid teenager would have the same commitment as a college graduate, Black was more than capable of the part. But Ellen Page is good. And even though her character is more than a little uninteresting, Page is such an actress that you can't help but like her. Most of the jokes are too forced and banal to work. The writing is also inconsistent, with some moments of brilliance, some moments that are cheesy and cheap, but the film's most memorable moments are the one-liners from every character in the movie. And that is something which is lacking in most romantic comedies these days. So while you may find yourself laughing at the many the-funny-things-come-together jokes, you might be disappointed when the movie isn't funny anymore. But when it's funny, you're not surprised that the plot didn't just unravel, you're surprised that there isn't a break in the script. So to sum up
I feel like I have to keep my opinion in line and even here I have to talk about the film. The movie has an "ooh" and a "ah" feel throughout, with all the lines that the characters make and say. You can either love it or hate it, depending on what your opinion of it is. It is very "flippin' good". I do not know if I would give it an 8 or 9, but I am rating it 8 out of 10. It is still very raw and honest in its approach to the teen years, but it has a solid message. It makes you think and what would you do if you were 17. The fact that the movie did not make me feel like I am 21 just shows how honest it is. I believe that teenagers who do not do what the film makes them do are not going to be "bad". Not all of the movie is the good kid that is "so fucked up that they have to make up" stories. The movie has a great message, and the actors who play them are great actors. I feel like they have a good story to tell, and it shows what they would do if they were 17. I would definitely recommend it.
I saw this film at the second screening I went to in Seattle, Washington. I really enjoyed it. I felt it was very funny. I thought it was very insightful about the world. I loved the fact that there were multiple stories that came together in a very complex way. I thought the ending was really good and very poignant. The chemistry between Lindsay Lohan and Ryan Reynolds was amazing. The entire cast was great. The only downside was that it was a little long. I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to see a movie with some entertainment value and some political/social commentary. I really liked this film. It's not a great movie, but it is a good movie.
If you watch this movie with any expectation for a sweet and pretty boy-meets-girl story then this movie may seem difficult to understand. But, if you do the time it will make you wonder if it was necessary to make a movie about a girl going through puberty, or a boy going through puberty. In this film, the guy is not that different from the other boys in his school. He does the same things, is happy with the same things, and is very "in" with the girl. There are no social problems, no problems in family relationships, no problems with peer groups, no family conflicts. In short, there is no problem in this story, and the "problem" in this film is the natural progression of the boys in their normal life and how they deal with the girls. (I wonder why the boy is shy around the girls, and wants to be more "open" in his relationships with them?) This is not a hard movie to understand, because of the way the movie is structured, it is structured in the same way as any other boy-meets-girl movie. But, it is very funny and sweet, and well-paced and well-acted. I give this movie an 8/10.
Overall, it was a very good movie. In fact, I thought that it was better than my favorite movie, the ultra-contrived "Catch Me If You Can." As always, I thought that Haley Joel Osment was great. However, the movie just seemed to slow down a bit towards the end. It could have been a bit more, but, in all fairness, I think that it was one of the better movies of 2013. Definitely one of the better comedies of the year, even though there are better ones, I thought that "The Man in the Iron Mask" was a better movie. Although, I still think that "Mumford" is one of the best comedies of the year. Overall, a very good movie. I give it an 8/10.
This movie is great. I have never seen a movie this good. It's funny, but also very sad and full of important messages. The ending was the best part. I give it a 9/10.
This is the kind of film that should have won the Oscar for best picture. And I would have liked to have seen more of the young actors who played the characters played by the two young children. They were absolutely fantastic and deserved to win an Oscar for their performance. The boys (Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Miles Teller) have not aged a day and continue to hold their own as young adults. I would have liked to see more of their relationships with their parents and to see how they are coping in the aftermath of the divorce. But it is a comedy with a message about love, sex, family, friendship and forgiveness. It is refreshing to see a movie with an honest story. It has it all and is worth a watch.
In this film, a young girl named Sissy Struthers (Hilary Swank) receives a package from her Uncle Harold Struthers (Robert DeNiro) with some of his old items, including a framed photograph and some family letters. After the package is opened, the contents are revealed to be those of a mail-order bride, Pam Walker (Julia Roberts). After being told that Harold was engaged to a woman named Kathleen Webster (Amy Adams), Sissy is determined to find the missing package. There's something about the package that even she doesn't understand. It seems to be a letter that Harold wrote to Kathleen, and after she discovers it, she finds it all wrapped up in the envelope and lies to Harold that she was sent the package. Soon after, Sissy finds out that it was meant for Kathleen, and she goes after it with no help from Harold. Director Joe Swanberg is one of my favorite directors, and in this film, he's certainly up to the task. The script is pretty good, too, and there are several funny scenes that are very good. Hilary Swank does a wonderful job of acting, and she really gets to make us care about her character, and there's a scene in which she goes after the envelope. Amy Adams is good in a supporting role, but her acting skills really stand out in this film. Julia Roberts gives a great performance as the younger, less-caring sister, but she has little to do in this film. The only real weak link in this film is Ed Helms, who is very good as the hubby of Harold. I give this film a B-.
I haven't seen the original since I was a teenager. I had heard so many bad reviews that I was afraid I wouldn't like it. But I loved it! It's a great movie about teenagers, it's funny and heart-warming. It's a story about a young man who is trying to cope with the things that have been going on in his life, and the girl he has fallen in love with. It's not too adult, or too slow, or too scary. It just happens, and it's a story about love and life. It's not going to be perfect, but it's good enough. The story is funny and it's a great movie. I hope it gets a lot of awards.
When I saw that this film had an Oscar in the works I was pretty excited. Sure, it's got all the typical teen angst of the decade and the usual cliches about the problems with sex and relationships. But when I saw that Lacey Chabert and Maggie Gyllenhaal were both nominated, I was excited to see how the film was going to come out. Well, it didn't. It was a little too similar to Mean Girls. The film had that familiar, kinda sad, feel. The director tried to mix it up a bit. But still it was too similar to Mean Girls. The film wasn't funny or very insightful. There was one thing that really didn't work. The film was based on a series of books. One of the books was written by a lesbian and she was nominated for a Best First Screen Play. I know it's not the Oscars and I think it's hard to get a film to win Best Film. I have to say that the film was pretty good. It was a funny and insightful look at the world of gay teens. It wasn't very creative but it was very well made. If you want a little more, I recommend the very funny, but dark, book 'The Green Mile'.
When I first saw this film, I was so impressed that I went out and bought it. I had a huge crush on it. I still have it and it still holds strong. I still think that the only reason I've never seen it again is because I was so obsessed with it when I first saw it. I was almost as obsessed with it as I was with the first one. It's amazing how you can be so obsessed with something that you want so bad, yet it just doesn't come around. I still love this movie and I'm still in love with it. I have seen it about 15 times now and I've still never looked at the DVD cover the same way. It's still my favorite movie. If you've never seen it, you should. It's not a boring film, it's a classic.
As a kid, I did not have the privilege of seeing "The Edge of Seventeen" until last week. I found the movie, based on the short story of the same name, to be very funny, but one-dimensional. It's not a very big-budget film (compared to some of the other Disney shorts) and it's the kind of movie that is very easy to overlook. But with some consideration, it's a good movie, with a lot of good laughs and a nice message for teens. The story revolves around two little kids who are members of a troubled high school, but their behavior gets out of hand at the end of the school year. The two best friends, Zoe and Gus, are on their way to an alternative high school, which is much less complicated. Zoe is afraid of going to the new school, but she manages to get into the new school and goes through some of the classes. One day, she is so depressed, she goes to a concert with Gus and goes to the bathroom, where she sees a picture of herself with a girl. This makes her feel better, and she sees her for the first time. Then she begins to think that she might have an older boyfriend. One of the things that makes this movie fun is the things that the characters do, because it's so silly. For example, Zoe tries to get Gus to go to the new school. After the concert, they go to the locker room, and she sees that he has not changed his attitude. She also tries to force him to go to the school, but he doesn't listen to her, so she takes a picture of him changing his pants and sends it to him. But when she leaves, he asks her to come back to the school. Zoe says that she's going to go to her father's house, so she gives Gus her phone number. This is a fun movie that's really easy to watch. It's not something that's really big-budget, but it's one of the better ones out there. It's funny, but it's really not a long film. It runs for about 95 minutes, and it's definitely one of the funniest Disney movies of the year. Overall, "The Edge of Seventeen" is very good. It's not something that's really big-budget, but it's definitely a good film. It's funny, and there's no real big problem with the movie. It's easy to watch, and it's really worth a look. 8/10.
i have seen this movie many times since i saw it when i was younger. i like the story the characters. i have enjoyed this movie over and over again. i am proud of my generation. to us it's real. there are many ways for us to express our emotions to the world. today we don't have to be able to express them to anyone, and sometimes it is difficult. the movie teaches us to be comfortable with expressing our emotions. i liked the movie because i have been in love since i was very young and i have always had the feeling of being cheated. a lot of times it happens so quickly that it doesn't make sense to me, it is like we think that our feelings can't be understood by others. i really loved the movie because i feel like i know the characters, i know what they are going through. and i know what they are going through. i like the music. it reminds me of my favorite songs of my favorite band. it is about a guy who has always been stuck up and very difficult. and he doesn't get any help from anybody. all he has is a belief in himself. and he is stuck in a cycle of ups and downs. because he has the belief in himself. so he has a lot of pain and he is very bitter. he knows that there is someone out there who has a real girlfriend. and when she finds out, he is totally devastated. but in the end he realizes that there is a lot of love out there, and she really did mean it. the music is great. it is very well done and really adds to the film. it really shows you what a person is going through. i loved the movie because it is about finding the peace and happiness in life. and i am very grateful that i have that belief in myself. i really like the songs. and i love that they are real and not based on a big part of them. this movie is a lot of fun to watch. i give this movie an 8/10.
I was fortunate enough to see the film premiere in DC yesterday. I'm so glad I did. It is a wonderful film that really shows how America's young people are dealing with the world today. There is not a single moment in the film that is not true to life. There is not a single moment that is not true to life. The story, the characters, the cinematography, the music, and the direction all contribute to make this film one of the best I've ever seen. The young people that I spoke to in the audience really believed in the message. Everyone laughed and applauded at the end. The director was awesome. The music is great, the acting was perfect, and the message is not preachy or trite. It is well-written, and so well-made. It's about a girl that is a tomboy, but she is not afraid to express herself. There is a little bit of everything, from life lessons to scary stuff, and everything in between. I can't wait to see it again.
A great movie. I loved this movie. I really liked the way the movie was directed and the characters. The actors in this movie really did a great job. The main character, Abigail, is a teenager and she really makes you feel for her. The film is made in a very funny way, with lots of funny characters and funny jokes. I really enjoyed this movie. It is a great movie that I think all teenagers should see at least once in their lives. I really hope that all people that have seen this movie get a chance to watch it. I think everyone should watch this movie. The main character, Abigail, really made me feel for her. I really recommend this movie. I really like this movie.
I've never seen a movie like this before. There's no sex, no nudity, no blood, no violence, no swearing, no language. The movie is just so perfect. I think it is the first time that I've seen a movie that's not for children. If you have children, you might want to see this movie before they get into it. The movie is set in a family's house, and it is one of the best movies that I have seen in a long time. The characters in the movie are so different, so quirky and so lovable. The music in the movie is just amazing, I love how the music is different from the movie and just great. I love the movie so much that I have it on video. I hope this movie will be the best movie of the year. It's a perfect movie, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. If you have not seen this movie, go out and buy it!
I was so impressed with this movie! I was even more impressed by the way it was filmed, in particular the music, especially the opening song. The only other movie that came close to this one was Titanic, and I have to say that Titanic was far superior to this movie. The plot was believable and the characters were engaging. I liked the movie for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was the ending. I think that this movie will have a life-time of success because it is a story that has been told and retold many times before. I also enjoyed the visual style of the film. It was so well-chosen, and the use of colors and lighting was brilliant. I think that this movie will stand the test of time because of its dramatic and dramatic-like plot, but also because of the brilliant use of color and lighting.
Like so many of his peers, it was this film that really got me interested in acting. I saw it when it came out, but it took a while for me to actually become involved with the characters in the film. I was curious to see what they were like as people, and what they were like in their everyday lives. This film was definitely a success. It is a great film to watch, and it is a great way to meet a new friend. I highly recommend this film to anyone looking for a great film. I would definitely recommend this film to anyone.
I saw this movie when it first came out and I loved it. I was surprised to see a movie with such a good message. It's not just about acceptance and the choice of a life, it's about finding who you are and living it. I am so proud of this movie for showing me that there is so much more to life than being a teenager. I love the movie because I can relate to it and feel the sadness and the joy and the anger. It's so well written, and I have watched it a few times since it first came out and I never get tired of it. The actors did a great job in portraying these characters, and the directors did a wonderful job directing the movie. I was so glad that the director took the time to create a movie with such a positive message and theme. It's very important to remember that not all teenagers are like this, and that it's not their fault that they are teenagers. I can't wait to see this movie again, and I hope it comes out on DVD, because I know I will be buying it!
