This movie is pure evil. It's about as good as it gets. So if you like scary movies, this one is for you. I say more if I can. The house is supposed to be haunted. It is too bad the director didn't take a good look at the film. The direction is good. The acting is good. But the writing is abysmal. I'm not even sure why the director didn't just go with a more normal ending. But that's what makes it so bad. If you're a fan of slashers, you're in for a treat. If you're looking for a good scary movie, you're probably looking in the wrong direction. This one isn't for you.

This is one of the most impressive horror films I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of bad ones. I really don't know what to say about it. It's more of a philosophical thriller, and that's what the movie is really about. This is a low budget, but good movie, and I don't think the people who made it thought it was really bad. It's a good movie, but I'd rather watch it again than watch it again for the first time, which I'm going to do. A really good, yet simple film, and I give it a 10 out of 10.

There's a ton of bad movies out there, but this one is pretty damn good. It's the story of a group of kids who go to an old mansion and get trapped in an old house. It's pretty good in its own way. I don't like horror movies as much as I should, but this one is really good. It's the way the kids acted, the way the adults acted, and the way the old mansion itself acted was very well done. And then of course, the ending was pretty good. Some people might say it was not necessary, but I thought it was actually really good, because I can't say the same for most other horror movies. But I think it's worth watching.

There was no way in hell I would go see this movie if I had known it would be like this. I have read the book and loved it so much I would not even have gone if it had been a true horror film. I was completely shocked at how much I enjoyed this movie. It had a great story and characters that were definitely good. They were likable and had enough of a story to be scary. The scares were strong and they weren't cheap scare tactics. They were subtle. The actor playing the mother was absolutely terrifying and it was hard not to love her. The father was just a total jerk. He was a big joke and it didn't help that the father was the one that had the evil plan. The parents were perfect and believable. The siblings were great. The father was charming and had a certain charm that you could easily believe was real. It was good to see that they had a good deal of chemistry between them. There were a lot of funny parts and I loved it when the siblings got together. There was also a scene with the uncle that made me laugh and I loved that part. The ending was good and you didn't see any of the movie. It was very intense and dark. I would definitely go see it again and I recommend it to anyone. If you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend it. I'm giving it a 10 out of 10.

I don't know why this movie gets such bad reviews, it's a great movie, I am writing this as a review for the first time. I am so glad that I did. The movie starts out with a young woman who is being abused by her father. She then meets a guy who shows her the story of his past and he wants to kill her. But when the boy's mother goes to the police to try to get him arrested, the boy's father says he's going to kill him. And that's when you know you're in for a classic. And that's exactly what it is. The acting is great, the storyline is original and the scares are great. I have never been so scared in a movie in my life, not even Close Encounters. I have to give this movie a 10 because I am a fan of the genre, and I'm a very big horror fan. I love this movie, and I recommend it to everyone. This is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Just because the makers of a movie can't find a decent way to make a good horror flick doesn't mean it is a bad movie. It was made in 1980. Back then there was just nothing. There were no cheesy horror flicks. Just plain awful ones like "The Exorcist", "Alien", "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Shining". The only thing you could say about this movie was "welcome back to the glory days" and I will be damned if I will ever forget the first time I saw this flick on a "big screen". It is one of those films that doesn't have to be too scary to be good, it is the good ol' blood-and-guts thrills that are the stuff that makes this movie so good. If you like a good old-fashioned horror flick then you will love this one.

I remember the original and loved it. This was awesome. It was amazing how the story progressed. I really didn't like the book much but it was well written and good for the children to see. I really loved this movie and it is one of my top 5. It is also a must see movie. It is the kind of movie that makes you jump out of your seat. I was even more thrilled when I saw it was a "remake" of a film that had already been remade a number of times. It was so refreshing to see an original with a fresh perspective. When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I had a bad feeling that it would be bad. When I saw the film, I was blown away. I can't believe this film was never released to the cinema or DVD. I am a very big fan of the series. I was very disappointed in the remake of The Mist. The result was just bad. The story is horrible. There is no explanation for any of the events. The actors were terrible. I was glad I did not spend money on this film. The result is just a little more fun and scary. I liked this film. I love all the actors. I am surprised this was made without any professional help. If this was made by a professional, this film would have been top 10 films of all time.

I love horror films. The Nightmare on Elm Street is one of my favorites. The movie was a great tribute to the classic horror films of the 70's. I would give it a 10/10. I first saw this movie back in 1984 and loved it! I haven't seen the new remake since I saw it as a teenager and didn't understand what it was all about. It was pure freaky, but scary and also good acting. The original one had John Vernon who was a great actor, but I didn't like his accent, and this new one has him as an American, and he's not as good. All I know is that he's great. Michael has a great job as well. This is a great movie for fans of the original movie, but if you haven't seen it you won't like it. I can't imagine why it's being so hard to get into the new one, but you know what. It's better than the original and you don't need to have seen it to enjoy it. Just watch it and you'll know what I mean. I also loved the music, it's really good and even better on the new one!

This is not the original 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. That is in the Top 100 Horror Movies of all time. This is one of the best films I have ever seen. The story is simple. In an old mansion, 5 teenage girls, one very young girl and two teens are being held hostage by a serial killer. The killer tortures them, kills one of them and then forces the others to eat the body. The killer gets the best part, and then the girls decide to do one last thing for him. The killer is hiding in the attic, and he uses the girls as human shields to attack the killer in the next room. The killer's plan is to kill everyone in the house and then go to a hospital to finish the job. I think this is one of the best films ever made. It is scary, it is funny, and it is violent. I have to say that I liked this one the most. It was very fun to watch, and I highly recommend it. This film is a good choice for Halloween and a good choice for any horror fans. This film is a must see!

I just got back from seeing the new version of "The Uninvited" (the original and supposedly the original director's cut of the movie) and I have to say I really enjoyed this movie. First off, this is the best horror movie I have seen this year. It has everything a good horror movie should have and more. The acting is really good, the story is suspenseful, and the directing was pretty good. The story is about a family who moves to a new house in an unknown neighborhood, and soon realize something very wrong is going on. The acting in this movie was really good, and it was believable because of the fact that the actors and actresses were real. The acting in this movie was not well known in the horror genre, but it was well done. This movie is definitely worth seeing and I would recommend it to anyone who likes horror movies. I give it a 10 out of 10.

What a beautiful movie! I could watch this movie over and over. The setting is just beautiful. It just moved me to tears at the end. And that's what a good movie does to me. And the actors were great. All in all a wonderful movie to watch and I definitely recommend it!

One of the most important films I have ever seen, if not THE most. I am amazed that a film like this was not released at all. It was a very interesting film, with so many twists and turns, and even though it is only 11 years old, I could still feel the desperation and rage, even though it was only 11 years ago. The acting was awesome, especially from Paul Walker, all of the supporting cast were great, but it was Paul Walker who stole the show. I was really shocked to hear that he has left the world of film, but I guess he did it to please his fans. I did not really know who he was when he was in it, but now that I know, he is a very talented actor. He is a lot more than just an actor, he has an incredible sense of humor, and it was a pleasure to see him in such an awesome film. I recommend this film to everyone, everyone needs to see this film, it is a lot of fun, and it is awesome! 10/10

I believe the movies that are on top of their game are "Poltergeist" and "The Amityville Horror".This movie is not like any other movie I have ever seen.It is a real treat to see a horror movie come out of Hollywood.Watch the movie and watch it hard! It's a shame that the remake is inferior to the original. I'm usually pretty forgiving with a remake, but this one really drags on for almost an hour. For instance, when the black goo starts coming out of the mummy's mouth and they all start having a struggle, I was like, "Really, dude? What are you doing? You can't keep doing this for hours and hours, it's not going to make sense." I hate when that happens to me. It's just a big waste of time. The acting was good, especially considering the nature of the story. The vampire, played by Nicholas Cage, was pretty cool. I think the setting and the makeup were perfect for the story. There's a lot of things I liked about this version of the movie. I really liked that the movie had the female lead. That's probably one of my favorite parts of the film. I also like how the part of "the killer" (the one who's been attacking the family) was played out. It's very disturbing and in a way kind of heart-wrenching. I also liked the way they played with the music throughout the movie. It really added to the mood of the film and added to the creepiness. The movie's soundtrack was also great. The part when the vampire turned into a goat and started eating people was very creepy. It's a great horror movie. It's not perfect, but it's not one of those bad ones either. I gave it a 9 out of 10. I hope that if you watch it, you like it.

I like the fact that this movie is so original because it is so scary and has great suspense. The fact that this movie scared me was also good because I never was scared in a movie before. The only ones that weren't able to stay in the house were Henry (Robert Liston), Laura (Edwin Neal) and Jack (Michael Berryman). Jack became sick and had to be hospitalized. Laura tried to give him a drink but it didn't work. Laura tried to keep Jack company but it didn't work. She was too afraid to try to touch him. Henry was going to be the last person to get a drink. He got sick and could not get the drink from the hospital. Laura then tried to get the drink for him but it did not work. She then tried to make Jack eat his yogurt. He didn't want to eat it and he started throwing it at her. She tried to run out of the house and didn't find the drink. The parents had to leave the house and try to find the house but there was no one that lived there. The parents tried to get help and didn't have a clue where they were. Henry was then taken to the hospital because of his vomiting. Laura ran into the house and tried to take Henry to the hospital. There was no help there. The parents then went back to the house and they found no one there. The parents then decided to get help from a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist was too scared to help the family so he had to stay there. After they left, the house was really quiet. Everyone was quiet and the lights were turned off. There was a letter that Laura had written that was burned in the fireplace. The next day the parents returned and the letter was burned. The house was empty. The next day Laura said that it was one of the reasons that she was angry with the people in the house. Laura didn't like Henry because he was in the hospital. Laura had tried to help Henry but he couldn't. The next day Laura had told her friends that Henry had been sick and had to be hospitalized. They were all shocked at that. The next day Laura and her friends took Henry to the hospital. There was a doctor that came and examined him and said that he was healthy. The next day the family went home. Everyone was happy and happy. It was a happy and happy time in their lives. Jack and Laura had a fight because Laura wanted to leave and Jack was in the hospital and he had

John Landis's original, truly horrifying (and over-the-top) horror masterpiece is shockingly remastered and retitled to M. Night Shyamalan's fourth film of 2005. The two films are beautifully different. Landis's film is in-your-face and disturbing. He injects the audience with razor-sharp commentary on human nature. Shyamalan's film, on the other hand, goes a step further, becoming a startling, in-your-face horror satire. His films are not exactly the same: "The Sixth Sense" is far more satisfying, compelling, and captivating than "Enemy of the State," and "The Village" is simply laughable. The most memorable element of "Enemy of the State" is, ironically, the absolutely terrifying storyline. "Enemy" is perhaps one of the most frightening, enthralling films in the horror genre. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the standard horror fare. But, when viewed in comparison to Shyamalan's other films, "The Sixth Sense" is far more successful. The film's dramatic setup is far more profound and engaging, but the rest of the film is less effective. It's like "The Sixth Sense" is too good to be true. With the exception of some truly brilliant writing and acting, Shyamalan's film has nothing of the original. He's too involved in his own self-parody. This detracts from the overall quality of the film. "Enemy" is the best of Shyamalan's films, but not quite the best film in the entire genre. "The Village" is a slightly better film than "Enemy of the State." "The Sixth Sense" is no less effective, but "The Sixth Sense" is more dynamic, captivating, and enthralling. "The Sixth Sense" is a near-masterpiece. It's the most popular and most compelling horror film of the decade. It's the best of its genre, and should be the benchmark of its genre. But, as previously stated, "The Sixth Sense" is a superior film to "Enemy of the State." That's not to say "Enemy of the State" is a poor film. It's not. It's the absolute best horror film of its genre. "The Sixth Sense" is the superior of the three films, but not of the entire genre. "The Sixth Sense" is not a perfect film, and its flaws are far from minor. "The Sixth Sense" is, in a word, amazing. There is no other way to describe it. It's as good as great cinema, and very well-made. The performances are brilliant. Jamie Lee Curtis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Dabney Coleman are all absolutely incredible. Curtis' portrayal of Tiffany Clayton is as great as it gets. Curtis' incredible energy and sheer presence are entirely believable, and she is the heart of the film. A simple little horror flick, but no slasher movie is complete without a little gory.and this movie is no exception.and it gets a 10/10 from me.

This is not a documentary on the tragedy of the first victim of the first fire. This is a suspense thriller about the inexplicable and unsolved events in the basement. It is based on a true story and I believe the film makers are going to be attacked for selling out their own story to the public. As to the supposed inaccuracies in the movie, I don't believe any of them. I am personally very sensitive to historical inaccuracies. It is true that the first victim didn't die that night. But if you want to see a movie that gives you something new and different, see this film. You will not be disappointed. I enjoyed every minute of this movie. You will too.

this movie is definitely one of the best horror movies i have ever seen in my life. i had seen this movie in a theater when i was 8 yrs old and i never thought i'd ever be like this when i was 16 but this movie gave me nightmares for years. and now i am 23 yrs old and i still remember the movie and i still have nightmares. i was talking about it with my friends in high school and i was saying how creepy it was and they were like, "yeah, but it's not really scary" and i was like, "yeah, but it's soooooooooo weird." just go see it, i'm sure you will be scared out of your mind. i highly recommend this movie for the whole family.

Well I just came from seeing 'The Awakening' and I gotta say I am amazed. I can't believe they did that movie, I just had a really strong feeling of wanting to see that movie since I first heard about it, the movie was terrifying. One of the things that they showed in the movie was the 'Great Departure', what a neat way they did that. This movie was quite a different experience, I didn't know what to expect, I guess it was all a bit of a surprise to me, but when I went in to see it, I was impressed. The only thing I didn't like about it, was it's length. I guess I could of used the extra 2 hours more. I thought the whole movie was worth it, the movie, the acting, the effects, the suspense, the plot, everything, and so much more, I had a very strong feeling that they were going to make a sequel, and even though it wasn't a sequel, I was sure of it. But I guess I was wrong, now I am going to watch it again, and I think it is worth watching, it is a must see movie, but if you haven't seen it yet, you really should, it is definitely worth it. I am very glad I was a fan of the previous movies, 'The Descent', 'Heist', and 'Saw', I am very much looking forward to seeing what they do next.

I've been a horror fan for the past 20 years and this film is still top of the pile for me. Yes the acting is a bit over the top and some of the jokes are a bit corny but the story is great and it does not take itself too seriously. It is a great little movie that has to be seen to be believed. The gore is fun, the music is great and the girls are really hot. It's a perfect teen horror flick and has the "fun" factor to it!

WOW! WHAT A HILARIOUS FILM! I was really shocked when I heard that some people really disliked this movie. I saw this film about a year ago and it changed my whole view on movies. I have seen it about 10 times since then and I still love it, I am still going to watch it whenever I can. This is a GREAT movie! I really don't get the hate. I think the critics really need to watch the movie again, read the books, and really see it for themselves. Some people are really harsh on this movie. This movie is great, it has a great storyline and amazing acting. My rating is a solid 10/10. I am really happy that a good movie like this can get this kind of feedback. It was worth every penny, and now I want to watch it again. I really hope that they make more movies like this, or at least make a sequel to this movie.

The first time I saw this movie, I was impressed. It wasn't bad, but it had its flaws. However, the second time I watched it, I was more satisfied. This movie is really very clever. It was scary at times, but the best part is when they go to the police station and the girls are running around like crazy. The climax was very suspenseful and a little scary too. I will say, if you like horror movies, then this movie is really good.

As I watched this film for the first time, I was blown away by its bizarre atmosphere and powerful storyline. It's also quite haunting and nerve-wracking at times, as you'll probably find yourself scared out of your wits by the ending. This film is in my top ten for the second time. This movie will always remain a true horror classic. David Lynch is an outstanding director and is also responsible for "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me" and "Blue Velvet".

This movie was so unique, i have never seen anything like it. The story is so strange and so scary, it's a strange mix of "the exorcist" and "the curse of the black cat". The acting is very good, especially gary oldman, this man can act. The music is awesome too, there are some great pieces of music, like "The Blessing" and "Past life" to name a couple. I can't wait for the DVD release, I can't wait to see it again. If you like these kinds of movies then you will love it, if not, don't bother. This is a must-see movie.

I have seen the movie twice and I just want to say thank you to the writers, producers and producers of this movie for showing the real horror that is human nature. The movie has many funny and great scenes and really makes you feel scary and really thought provoking. Some people in the theater started acting very weird and so did I! I think everyone in the audience should see this movie!

I always look forward to watching a remake when they're announced. I must say that I was not disappointed at all with this movie. This was a fun watch, and I enjoyed it very much. The characters were very well played. If you're a fan of the original, you'll enjoy it as much as me. It's like a horror comedy version of "Grease". The movie goes from comedy to horror very easily. I thought that the movie was very well made and well acted. A lot of the scenes were hilarious, especially the hotel scene. I thought that the costumes were very well done. I especially liked how the characters were made to look old. All in all, a great movie!

I just saw the movie for the first time in I think. and I was blown away. I know that this is going to get a lot of hate but that's OK. The actors and actresses were amazing. I was mesmerized. Because if it was made for cable it would have been great. It also shows that there is still hope for a good movie. One thing I noticed in the movie was that some of the things that the girl did were kind of out of character. but it wasn't intentional. Overall, I think this movie is a great work of art and I highly recommend it. I think it's going to go straight to the top of my DVD collection. It deserves it. 10/10

And if you really hate horror movies this is not for you. The acting was fantastic but the acting was definitely perfect for the characters. The writing was really good also. The suspense of the story is well delivered and I would not want to spoil anything for you. The camera work in the film was amazing. Yes this is a dark film but it is also so much better than horror movies today. It really does not matter that much if the film is old or modern, this is one of the best of its kind and if you really want to see it in the cinema go for it. A+

The acting was great, and I thought the girl who played Dorothy would have been perfect for the part. I enjoyed watching this film.
