The son comes in and the wife tells him to be careful when he is with her and that the soldiers who are to go with him are going to be more aggressive. This is the first time we see the son's face and the first time we see him act so differently from his father. The son says, 'He's a Marine. He's fighting for the USA. He can't just abandon us.' That is the moment the film changes from a realistic movie about a man's experiences to an allegory about the relationship between an individual and the people he or she is related to.

But as the credits roll, his eyes, his body, his voice, everything about him is the same, and we can't help but feel the same. The voice is the same. It's clear that the actor is the same, the color and the voice are the same. But everything is the same, including the rest of the characters. This movie is a huge achievement and I hope that Argento will make more movies like this one, and make more films of this sort. He really does show us that he's a true filmmaker.
