The young boys are very effective in their role and the experience they have gained is shown very effectively. The dialogues of the movie are also very good. After a rather lackluster debut film, "Dheepan" starts off with a bang. The story is set in the backdrop of a remote village in the Himalayas and is based on the true story of a former Indian army officer (Pranav Mistry) who is offered a chance to lead an expedition to the Himalayas in order to find out the location of a mysterious island and the huge treasure buried there. The expedition is led by the charismatic Nargis Fadnis, who has the ability to make the most of situations that arise. But the adventure doesn't start off as planned. The village is under siege by a group of armed bandits and the officer and his team must somehow escape from the village and out of the region before the bandits come for them. This is a very different film and the first half is a great adventure and the second half is more of an action thriller. The film is an absolute blast from start to finish. The performances are excellent, especially from the two leads and the supporting cast. The film also has some humorous moments which is always good. The film is very good and a must watch for those who love a good adventure film. My rating for the film is 7/10. Its a great film and one of my favorites of the year. My rate: 7/10

I have seen this movie in a theatre which was packed. I cannot remember the last time that I was so moved by a movie. The story is just perfect. I liked the way it was told. It is not just a story about a gangster but the way the gangster is portrayed is the way the gangster should be portrayed. This is a must watch movie. The dialogs are great.
