I was lucky enough to watch the 'live' screening of this film at an awesome movie convention. And it was pretty damn good. I'm actually surprised that it wasn't at least nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars. You can tell that this film has a great deal of heart, and it does a lot to let us see the problems of modern society in a light that isn't just filled with violence and gore. While the story is simple, it does provide the viewer with a very serious, very human message. Not to mention, the animation is amazing. It's a shame that we only get to see the movie in it's Japanese version. The English version of the film is amazing, so much so that it's actually a shame that it wasn't released on DVD in the States. I hope that more releases of the film are made and that it gets the attention that it deserves.

The musical score is also very, very well done. The film is so entertaining, you can't help but laugh, and also is very sweet and very interesting. If you're a fan of Japanese animation, I recommend this film to you. If you're not a fan of Japanese animation, I recommend you see this film because I think it's a very good anime. Go see it!
