Comments about history «Rabin, the Last Day» (73)
I watched this movie because of the score of 9.5 on IMDb. As a Greek living in Turkey, the rating of this movie is rather misleading. For a movie with an unknown director who has some films in the above 9.5, one should think twice. Yes, the film is good. The cinematography, the direction, the music - there are many reasons why this film will not bring you over the border, but, the actor who plays Rabin is pretty weak and it is a shame that the movie doesn't bring over the Greek audience. When you watch this film, just think what do you need from the movie, because it can be summed up in one word - it's not true.
While watching the film, I kept on feeling the powerful emotion that David tried to express and I had tears running down my face. David was in an impossible situation. His experience was a lot like that of a woman in India. And then he can't hide his feelings. He must admit that he's afraid. There are too many moments in the movie where you just can't help yourself from laughing. Even when he's talking to the Japanese people, his reactions are so natural and direct that you wonder what he's trying to say. The people on the other side of the screen are just as happy as he is. I hope to see a new and better version of David Copperfield.
I have watched several movies about the Holocaust, and the basic idea behind the plot of this movie is excellent. But unfortunately, this movie is not very accurate about the circumstances of the Holocaust. I think that in the movie the chief reason for the ending was because the Jews were saved by the Russians. But this is a big mistake. The Nazis were mostly Jews, the Russians were mostly Russians. The movie did a good job portraying the situation of Jews in Poland, but not the situation of Jews in the rest of Europe. The main difference between the Jews in Poland and the Jews in France and Germany is the fact that the Nazis had the power, whereas the French and Germans had the will to stop the Holocaust. Also, the Jews in Poland had the right to bear arms and that is why they did not use guns in Poland. In France, the Germans were mainly French and had the will to stop the Holocaust. So, I think that the movie is good and does a good job showing the real situation of the Jews in the U.S., and I think that people should watch it.
This movie does not try to shock or touch the viewer with the religious subject. It is an insightful story about the children of the Holocaust and what it took for them to cope and move on from the experiences of the camps. It is really touching and moving. The performance by the children is excellent. One of the best movies of 2006.
I just saw this movie last night. It had a nice portrayal of the battles between the Jewish and Arab states. I was not sure what to expect after watching this movie and just came away with a feeling of "wow". I also heard that the film was offensive to some people, but I really think that it was good and did not need to be pointed out. I understand that the real Tzipora, the mother of Samson and Aaron, is not on the screen for long and does not get much of the screen time, but I think that the acting was very good, especially if you view the film in the time frame in which the movie was made. The real tearful scene between Samson and his father is a great scene, and really pulls you into the story. Also, there is a part of the story that is touching and touching, even though it is kind of forced to see. Overall, it was a good movie to watch, if you are a Christian, Arab, Jew, or any religious beliefs. It just has a touch of "feel good" that makes it for me a good movie.
Rabin's last day in court, the last minute, was a lesson in how history is written, and how "truth is stranger than fiction." It may be that the whole issue of Jewish suffering and so-called anti-Semitism was a coincidence that led to a misunderstanding. It is certainly possible that the Holocaust, which seemed to be an ordinary event for the Japanese, really was so for the Germans. But the issue was what were the circumstances that led to this sort of explanation. Was it a coincidence that the last day of the war in the Western world was the day the "Final Solution" of the Jews was being implemented? I think not. The decision to make that day the last day of the war was a conscious decision, and it's really not something that can be explained by coincidence. The violence was well planned, and was justified by the need to end the war. All the other factors that caused the "Final Solution" were included in the history. This film is a wonderful reminder of a historical event that was truly horrific.
This film is a very interesting and somewhat disturbing documentary about the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel. A U.S. Ambassador is assassinated. The top Israeli general, Gadi Eizenkot, (Martin Sheen) and the head of Mossad (Shaul Eisenberg) are appointed to handle the aftermath of the assassination. The film is really interesting and very well made. Martin Sheen is good as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. The other actors are good too, especially the ones who played top officers in the Mossad and the general who was assassinated. The film is well worth seeing. It has a great cinematography, good sound and sound mixing, and is a good example of how to tell a story in a unique way. Although it is very disturbing and depressing at times, it is definitely worth seeing. If you can get your hands on it, watch it.
The fact that a piece of fiction, a tale of myth, can be linked to reality and become a symbol of such and profound causes like genocide, corruption, fascism, and violence is what makes this film so good. The entire cast plays its roles so well, and the directing is wonderful. It's true, I didn't quite get what the film was about, but I also did not know what to expect. The real story is told from the perspective of the little boy and his father. We see them from an older perspective, from a different point of view, and it's brilliant. This film deserves all the praise it has received. I don't think it's realistic to compare this film to anything else, but that is exactly what the makers of this film did. It's also very important to mention that the film is very sensitive and heartfelt. I have never been so moved by a movie, and I can say this because I'm Jewish, and it is no small thing to see the film's depiction of the Holocaust. The fact that they are not Nazi-sympathizers (which would be incorrect, in my opinion), only strengthens the importance of the message. However, I recommend this film to everyone.
The people in the movie seem to be the protagonists. Each of them are completely well defined. The story of "Rabin the Last Day" could be considered the anti-Soviet, anti-Putin, anti-NATO propaganda. We can also use the story as a metaphor to explain what is happening in Ukraine. And of course, the movie is very funny. But in a very humorous way. The last 10 minutes or so are very intense and that's the only bad thing about the movie. That is the only thing I can say. The people are not perfect. In the beginning they are too, the "spokesmen" are not perfect and the story is very, very simplified. But that doesn't mean that it is not funny or a good movie. Maybe because we already have it (especially when you see the trailer, it really makes you wonder how it will turn out)
The film is about the battle between the Nazis and the Jews in 1943. Many people consider this a history lesson because the battle took place during WWII. When it comes to the filming, this film was made back in the late 80s. The production was about the conflict between the Jewish people and the Nazi's. The film actually looks authentic because it takes place in Europe in the 80s. The filming was made using reenactors and even some famous soldiers. The war scenes were not as realistic as I would have liked but still the film was interesting to watch. I don't think it is a great film, but it is a well made film. There is some cursing in the film but the cursing wasn't as bad as I expected. I rate this film 7/10.
This is the perfect film to come out of the sixties, the last real critical period. If you want to know why the sixties is the longest lasting era in American history, watch this film, it's a triumph. This is an absolute must see for all who are thinking about making the transition to the seventies, if you don't like this film, it means that you are part of a very tiny group of people who can't appreciate this documentary. * out of *
I first saw this film when I was 13, and was fascinated by its historical significance. So much of the film is narrated in the voice of the priest, Elisha, explaining to his audience the events of the past century. The only way to interpret the events that have transpired is to get to the root of the problem, and that is found in the so called "struggle of the people". The whole film is narrated by the priest, as he recounts the steps taken by the oppressors to bring down the freedom fighters. The slaves and their allies can be seen as the human beings who have been dispossessed of their freedom, but as the film goes on, their role is played by the people who have been displaced by the coup. However, the film has many key moments which show the critical role of the people in the struggles of the 20th century. One of the most powerful scenes in the film is when the priest enters the synagogue and discovers the place filled with frightened worshippers, having been betrayed by the sultans. The whole audience gets a chance to look out into the sanctuary, and hear the pleas of the men, but not a word is uttered. It is in this moment that we understand that this film is truly a humanist epic, telling a story of the oppressed oppressed, whose story is being told by the people. The film is excellent, because it shows the great struggle of the people for the freedom of their country, but also the people of the whole world to stand up against the tyranny of the tyrants. I recommend this film to everyone who enjoys a film which is truly a masterpiece. It is a film which deserves to be remembered.
Michael Winterbottom's adaptation of Israeli writer Avi Goldfinger's novel, "The Last Day," is a vivid and beautiful tale about the religious tensions that were prevalent in the 1990s, as the country endured its first peace agreement with Israel and was about to enter its third. Goldfinger, a former Israeli soldier, had built up his family in the country during its years of civil war. The ending of the book was not a happy one. The film goes a little bit further, showing how this bitter ending affected his wife and their children. The acting was top-notch by the whole cast. The story is very well-told, and, like "Grizzly" in comparison, it deals with the realities of everyday life in a multicultural society. It is a very entertaining film, and I look forward to watching it again in the future. Highly recommended.
The question of this film: is it a "hero" or "savior" film? It is a rather amazing piece of cinema that has received a lot of criticism because of it's purely Christian theme, yet it has become a big success. It is definitely a journey of discovery, as the story moves forward as the viewer gets to know more about the story's characters and their hardships, and the themes of this film become more and more apparent. It is interesting to note that the film is not a straight-up Christian film. We see how various religions can overlap with each other, and how different cultures can interact with each other. The film is not for all audiences, but it is definitely worth seeing. The film itself is not the strongest film, but the story is, and that's what matters. This film will go down as one of my favorites. It has some very funny scenes, and a very strong message, but is not too preachy.
I thought this movie was very well done. It's not your typical Hollywood product, and it's not what most people expect. This movie was actually based on a true story. However, it's not about those events, and I think most people would be satisfied if this movie wasn't based on the events of that tragic day in the life of one man. However, I think the other aspects of the movie were so amazing that I will definitely recommend it to people who may not be familiar with the events of that day, or may not have heard of it in any way. People of all ages can be entertained by the story, and the actors are all very good. The only parts of the movie that I think are a little too long are the scenes with Jorgen Vanger and his family, and I would have preferred if they had been shorter and more involved with the "final day" of the conflict. But all in all, a very enjoyable film, and it is a good way to spend a couple of hours. It's not exactly a "go see" movie, but a good one to catch on TV.
This film was excellent and so tragic to watch. It is a must see for anyone who knows or understands what happened in the Holocaust. The acting in the film was superb and the plot well developed. The film was a bit confusing at times but that was understandable because the movie was very long. It was a very interesting film. I think everyone should see it and learn about the events that happened in Europe in the second world war. The film showed the horrors of the Holocaust which was much more intense than the Allied bombing of Dresden in 1945. I think the film should be shown in schools as a lesson on what happened in Europe during the war. It was very sad to see the Holocaust take place and the effect it had on the people who were affected.
First of all, I would like to say that this film is in no way a remake of "A Free Man". In fact, it is an update to the tale of a French Jewish community forced to leave their homeland in the 1940s. Yes, they were subject to deportation, but this is not a remake, this is a modern-day retelling of the story of the Exodus. The movie is set in Israel. It was the last place that the Jewish people were deported, but they were all chased from there. The main character is Steve Harris, played by Michael Rooker. He is an insurance investigator who has a daughter that was born in the same time period as the rest of the family. He knows the story, but he doesn't know the name of the person that gave birth to her. So, he decides to investigate the name and discover if it is really who it claims to be. After some investigating, he discovers that the woman is not a true Jew, but rather a widow. She had been born in Germany, and is now living in Israel. She was forced to leave, and she has no place to return to. But, it is all part of a plan by the Nazis to deport the Jewish population of France. They don't want any Jews to return to France. As a Jew, she is determined to find out who is behind this. She finds a clue that makes her believe that this is the woman she was looking for. However, the film is not really about the Holocaust. It is a story about the two families that are forced to leave. The woman, Irene (Isabelle Adjani) and the man, Michel (Vincent Cassel). While both are attractive, the relationship is never romantic. They are just two people that don't really have a connection. They try to find a way to get away from the Nazis, but they are running out of time. The pace is not very slow, but there are times where you feel like you need to fast forward. If you are looking for a Jewish film that is not too heavy, this is not it. You will not feel like you are missing out on anything. I would recommend this film to any Jewish person. The cast is very good. It is very well written, with very well-acted characters. There is no one that I don't like in the cast. I think the performances are very good. Isabelle Adjani gives an excellent performance as Irene. She is a very convincing actress. Vincent Cassel is also good. It is a bit odd that he is playing the French character, but I liked it. He was just perfect in this role. There is also a very good performance by Am
In this film the King dies at the age of ninety. The other members of the council are asked to come up with an heir. The eldest of the four sons is the most entitled and so he becomes King. To be born royal is one of the few good things in his life. He spends a lot of his time killing people, personally. He is completely unbalanced in his personality and cannot be trusted. The youngest brother (the de facto heir) is made to be the King's personal bodyguard. When he leaves the palace the second eldest son, the son of the king, finds him and kills him. It is clear that the new King is unbalanced. He can't be trusted. He constantly kills people who threaten him. It is obvious that he is going to rule the country, but I wasn't very interested in the plot. I liked the way this film tells its story.
I have always been a fan of Orwell's fiction and his other works. Unfortunately, I know very little about him, except that he is more well known as the creator of the novel 1984. I was very excited to see Rabin, the Last Day (RTC), as I'm a big fan of John Hurt, but not his acting. So I was a bit disappointed by it. John Hurt is brilliant and does an amazing job at playing the role of Rabin. However, I felt that this film was too long, probably too long for what it is. The film is about what would happen if a society learned to accept a rule change that is basically the equivalent of a totalitarianism. The film is a little over two hours, and I don't think it would have been a fairytale if the film was a little shorter. The film is very well made, with good cinematography and use of angles. The cinematography really helped me to suspend my disbelief, and really helps to give the film a more believable feel. The actors did an amazing job, especially with the major roles. Miranda Otto, who played Queen Havel, was great, and I really loved her character. I felt that she was fantastic. Her performance was fantastic. The two other actors who played Rabin, Fares Fares, and Fani Altobany, were also great. They were, for the most part, really good. However, I really enjoyed Fani Altobany. She was great, and gave a really great performance. She was really good. This is probably because I was involved with the film during production. I had already gotten a ticket for the special screening of the film at the theater where I work, and I didn't even know what the film was. I really enjoyed the film. It was great. I really loved this film and I think the actors did an amazing job. Overall, I think Rabin, the Last Day is a great film. The film is very well done and the acting is great. If you want a good film that's very good, this is the one to see.
There's a great film here. This is a story about how our history, myths and the principles that have been taught in every country were unfulfilled and the genocide of the Jews was tragic and tragic, yet not tragic enough. This film will forever be one of my all time favorites.
I really liked this movie. It was extremely moving and emotional. It really put a whole different perspective on war and the human condition. The director and the actors did a wonderful job. The story, the dialogue, and the visuals are all beautiful. I would recommend it to everyone who has ever felt lonely or despondent. The ending was beautiful. It really brought the movie home. The characters really grew on me and I was invested in their story. They were truly amazing. A movie like this has to be appreciated, and I was really surprised how much I enjoyed this movie. If you feel the same way, I think you should give it a shot.
I have just seen the film and i think it is good. I think it is a good film for people who don't know anything about the Jews, because it shows that we are not the problem, we are not the only ones who feel lost and angry, the Germans are, too. I am sorry if it sounds like a small review, but I was really sad when we finished it, and i think it is a very good movie. I think that there are people who want to make people feel bad about themselves. Well, maybe i am being a bit too hard on myself for not understanding a lot of what this film is trying to tell me, but it does teach you a lot about life and the loss of life and the oppression and the feeling that you have no one to look after you.
I found this film to be a great work of art. The dialogue was fantastic, the acting was outstanding, the score was great, the direction was exceptional and the overall storyline was well-done. I also liked that the main character had a side part in this film. I can say this movie was really touching and I appreciated the fact that they didn't just rely on religion to describe the war in this film. In this movie, you saw the basic things that were happening in the last days of Rabin's life, but there was no one character who did all of the talking for the sake of it. I also really enjoyed that there was no single person that was leading Rabin's life on the last day. You saw how every day, you saw him walk around in agony with one or two little parties about his condition. Even the music in this film was great. It's important to look at this film with an open mind and not judge it based on what you already know about the "Rabin story". I recommend this film to anyone who is looking for a great and powerful movie. Also, I encourage everyone who wants to understand and relate to the story to watch this movie. I would highly recommend this film to people who are just starting out in film studies or just need to gain a better understanding of Rabin's life.
There's this wonderful Irish Catholic-themed film that makes the most out of being a fictional (and ultimately fictitious) film. It's an interesting but quite difficult movie, because in the long run the viewer will almost certainly find it redundant. But I found this a very fun movie that is worth watching, especially if you liked 'Carrie' or 'My Left Foot'.
It's so good to see a film like this, where the political implications are completely overlooked. This is the first film I have seen where the politics and the sex in the movie have not been pushed aside. The film is great because of the actors, who all put in great performances. I think this film could have been more complex, but the director, actors, and actresses make this film more effective. I highly recommend this film.
Vin Diesel's MOST favorite film of all time? And for the record, I'm a big fan of both of them. So naturally, he'd have my vote, if only for the fact that his last film is in my top ten. The Last Day, as a matter of fact, isn't necessarily a bad film, but it's definitely not one of my favorites. The Last Day is actually my least favorite of Diesel's films. I still give it a 9/10, but that's not really fair. There's just something about the film that's not quite right. The movie is about the last day of the Final Days of the Ottoman Empire. The day is on the way to what's to be the last day of that empire, which is why it's called the Final Days. The final day is when it finally begins to take shape, and the first part of that is about the final days. The Last Day was released in 2002, so that's about 10 years after the first day of the Ottoman Empire. The movie itself is about a French cavalry captain named Valedieu (Robert Carlyle). He's a French cavalry officer who lost his family during the Siege of Constantinople, and his wife and son perished in the Battle of Constantinople. Now, Valedieu is on a final day that will decide the fate of the Ottoman Empire. It's the day that the Ottoman Empire will either be victorious, or will fall. The Turks have a commander named Bahram (Srbag Ramazan) who has no intention of letting the empire fall, but he also has his own agenda. He has a plan to conquer Constantinople, and in the process, he is going to have to rescue the French cavalry officer who will accompany him. The battle is where this film is really awesome. It's filled with wonderful battle scenes, and the movie has a great cast. As for the cast, there's not a lot of new faces in this film, but they're all great. The only new face that stands out is Robert Carlyle, and he does an awesome job with the role. Even though he doesn't have much to work with, he manages to pull it off. The last film of Diesel's is a little bit different. The Last Day isn't one of his worst films, but it's still not one of his best. It's the most action-packed, and the first half of the film is probably his weakest. The Last Day has great battle scenes, but that's all it has going for it. The Last Day has good
I had seen the 1982 version before I watched this and in my opinion this version was the better one. This movie has the same tone as the classic movie. The plot and the acting is great. It is a "story about love" in the same way as Forrest Gump is a story about love. I was very impressed by this movie and I think it is one of the best films I have ever seen.
The movie was not very accurate of what actually happened. They probably did not capture the entire conversation between Samuel T.LAte & "John T." At times I felt they were trying to hard to be funny. Not that it's a bad thing, I am just saying this movie could have been better as a play. When Samuel T. was the one who signed the document "Ten Years," one of the CSA workers who was murdered says, "He signed it. He signed it." In Samuel's case this would have been a problem in the movie. They tried to put Samuel T.LAte into the film, but they probably needed some other actors to fill the shoes that Samuel T. would have. He was such a smart guy and such a good actor. The CSA was portrayed as a lot more evil and abusive than the real thing. The "Lincoln" that came out the next year was an excellent movie. They did a good job with the script, but some of the dialogue was corny and the direction was so perfect, that it was hard to tell where it came from and where it was going. So I guess the movie was good for some people, but I think it was a little overrated. I would have to rate it higher than a 6, but then again, I wouldn't be giving it a 6, but a 7. Overall, this is a good movie, but I wouldn't give it a 9.
Rabin is a movie about the Jewish and Italian relationship in World War II. The movie is about the Holocaust. As a Holocaust movie, it is excellent. As a movie about the Jewish and Italian relationship in World War II, it is excellent. Both were very good movies. Overall, the movie is very good.
It's a very low budget movie that has not much drama or action. I really enjoyed it because I'm a follower of Israeli history and since it has been taken from real events, I'm really shocked by how this movie has been made. It's very true that what happened in 1940 was very sad and I could understand the political climate during that period, but I don't think this movie is aimed to be like "The Passion of the Christ". In fact, the main character made a decision that we can criticize him for, but it's not too strong. This movie is set in 1940 and the "ten days" of the first intifada that lasted from July 12,80 to July 21,80. The movie has a great style. Everything in the movie is very authentic, especially the music, including the events and quotes from the film. Everything in the movie is very good. The movie is based on a true story that can be a good source of information for anyone who is interested in World War II. I think this movie is a must see for anyone who is interested in World War II and Israeli history.
After watching this movie, I felt like I've been kidnapped to a foreign country and forced to watch a political drama and all that jazz. It really put a chill down my spine. The film had a really strong message and one that I will never forget. I don't want to reveal anything to avoid spoilers. The film has a very believable portrayal of the religious influence in Iran in the 1920's and 1930's. The film does a great job of showing the unrest and the desperation in the country and the support that the religious conservatives had. This movie will be remembered as one of the best political films of all time and a must see for everyone who has a mind to see a good film.
I'm going to be honest, I am a big fan of the old television series "Babylon 5", but I was unaware of the movie. This movie was truly a wonderful insight into the alien history of the galaxy, the ancient technology of the Ape's, and the backstory of the characters. I was genuinely fascinated and amazed by the effects and how they were done. I also really enjoyed the movie itself, it had a very realistic feel to it, that I was truly impressed with. The character's, the story, and the story line were great, with some good surprises. I give this movie 8/10 stars, it is definitely worth the watch. I really hope that we see more movies in this style from them, they truly have a great way of telling stories.
After reading an article in The New York Times about the film "The Rabbi," I decided to get a copy of the film and go to see it. I went to see it in a theater in Chicago, and after seeing it, I just can't shake the feeling that the film, though a beautiful and a thought-provoking film, is pretty much a whitewash of Rabin's final days and why he did what he did. Is it true? Is it supposed to be? I haven't the slightest clue. The critics were wrong, and the movie was definitely not "pure" or "whitewash." As a Zionist myself, I can't help but be mad that the film tries to pander to the Palestinian viewpoint on the Rabin assassination, and doesn't just present an accurate account of what happened, but it attempts to make the entire affair into a history lesson. It's a great film, but it's not a true story, it's just an interpretation. It may be wrong, but it's not wrong. I highly recommend it, but don't go see it expecting the truth. It's an amazing film, but it's not a true story.
The arrival of the Spanish conquistadors back to Spain opens a window into the world of early Christian Spain and the coming of Christ. The movie is narrated by the title character, a historian, who makes a dramatic argument in a battle that takes place in a valley, the Alhambra. The battle is one of the biggest battles of the Christian conquistadors. It is truly an epic battle. And as a historian, I am interested in knowing what happened on that day. I have read some of the historical books and at some point in the story the narrator makes a big argument about the probability of the idea that Christ died in battle. It is one of those occasions where I was convinced that the historian is right. As a historical movie, it is very good. There are many great battle sequences that are shown. I didn't see the battle sequences that much in the movie itself. Some of them was just in the trailer. And I still can't figure out what happened in the battles. But it was well acted. My favorite scene was when the narrator did his argument about the probability of that battle. And the camera was really focused on the angle and everything. I don't know if this would be considered the best movie of this type. But it is very good. And I recommend it to anyone who is a history buff. And I think that you should watch it.
Finally, after 35 years, I saw this film! I read about it in some mags, and decided to watch it. I wasn't expecting much. I was very surprised, and I loved it. The scenery is beautiful. I have seen it 2 times, and every time I love it. Yes, it's not the best film I've ever seen, but I was very impressed, and I hope you will be too. When you are watching it, don't expect a great Hollywood story. You should watch it, as it's not for that. It's for a good story, with wonderful cinematography and good acting. It will have you waiting for another view after you see it. I wish it would become a classic film, but I doubt it will. As far as I'm concerned, it's a great film, and I recommend it to everybody. You should also read the book! I was surprised, and I am glad I have watched it, because it was so great. I just wish I knew more about it, and about the director, and about Mr. Cohen.
Well, there is nothing much to say about this film. I am a big fan of both Tarnation's (who also directed) and the director of this film, Michael Besançon. Tarnation's films are beautiful, detailed and compelling. I am a great admirer of his work and I recommend this movie to anybody who is a Tarnation fan or is interested in the subject of the Middle East. It is a rare film that shows how much suffering the world has caused to the Middle East. It does not have a big budget, but it is well worth the watch.
I loved this movie. I loved the book. I didn't want it to be more than what it was. It's an amazing, amazing story, set in a time and place of humanity's darkest moments. I loved it. The first hour and a half is intense, it starts slow but quickly picks up. The acting is superb. The final hour. well, I'm a little off topic but I'm a little off topic.
Historical facts about Rabin are difficult to obtain, yet the quality of the film outweighs its historical inaccuracies. First, the character of Martin Luther King was in no way glorified in the movie, nor was he a martyr. Second, the historical aspects of the events of Rabin were ignored and did not contribute to the story of the film. This fact combined with a lack of historical accuracy renders the movie as a hollow piece of propaganda, and this is the least of the errors of the film. Furthermore, this is a movie of a conflict in Israel between the religious, racist, and radical right wing, and the democratic, secular left wing. The way the film has been produced, it seems to focus on the religious right, and is very anti-Israel, anti-Arab, anti-Muslim, and anti-American. However, I did not feel the portrayal of the Jewish character in the movie was anti-Semitic. Rather, the character is portrayed as a religious Jew, and that was an accurate portrayal of the character. While not portraying the Jewish character in a positive light, this movie is still a good piece of propaganda. It is not a "how could it happen" movie. Rather, it is a "how could it happen" movie that glorifies the religious right and the hatred of the Arabs. This type of film should be condemned. Rather, this film should be viewed as a warning to the American people about the power of a political party that wants to control our government, and how the American people could be influenced by this political party.
I like movies that take you into the area of life we live in and the danger we face and especially when that danger comes from inside the house. I remember when I was a child and my parents got some scary news that their house was about to be sold to a real estate group. At the time I was really scared and I knew we would be moving to a new house with a new family that I never had, and that they would be moving to another house across the street. I had a lot of experience with this type of change. I always felt that a living situation was very special, and I think this movie gives you that same feeling. The film tells you that the beginning of your life is all important and it takes a lot of pain to get to the top. The movie also gives you a couple of quick ideas of how to handle the fear of the change and move on with your life. I like movies that make you think about life and you learn a lot about it. I can say that this movie had great messages and I really enjoyed watching it.
A man falls in love with his own life, not the world around him. The author of this book is a woman, and a woman who falls in love with her own life, not the world around her. A man has to accept that he cannot change the world, or even the very end of the world. What he can do is live, and live well, in his own life. That is what a film is all about. This movie does the impossible: It shows us that a man can go back in time and change the past, but not the future. It shows us that a man can change the future, but not the past. But it doesn't end there. When we do something we regret, we get angry, and the film shows us that. But in this film, we don't get angry. We don't even get sad, because we know that in the end, he will do what he always wanted to do. It is about the world, but also about ourselves. And about that, the film is worth watching, especially if you love this kind of movies. It is well done.
The book (I think) is supposed to be about Rabin, not "When I Was You", so I am not really surprised that "When I Was You" doesn't get the accolades it deserves. Still, I thought the movie was very good. There are a lot of things that are different from the book, which is a good thing. Some people may not be happy with some of the changes. But I don't think any of them are too bad. The movie has a pretty nice pace. And the photography was very good. I really like this movie, but I'd like to see it again, before I give it a 10. However, I do like the book and the movie and I give this one a 7 out of 10.
The Last Day is based on the 1925 Ceausescu's Muresan Conspiracy Trial, which convicted him of high treason and rebellion against the Soviet government. After being taken to the trial, he was paraded through the streets to the music of French leader Jean Moulin. The conviction was later overturned in 1946 by the Communist government of Lenin's New Economic Policy and death sentence was meted out. But the song "Strictly Together" by the band The Mules remains his only legacy. On October 31, 1959, Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin executed the man he called "the last stage of the Great Man", Ceausescu. After Ceausescu's execution, all political parties, and even his close friend and ally, Nikita Khrushchev, denounced the murder and demanded his unconditional release. A case was filed and Ceausescu was moved from a Romanian prison to an adjacent American embassy in Warsaw. As the last Soviet leader, he remained behind bars until 1989. The Last Day is a slightly dramatized account of his fate. I was prepared for a rather run-of-the-mill, 'gotcha' prison drama, but this was not the case. I was mostly interested in the prison life and the existence of his fellow prisoners. I wasn't bored with the story. The film actually portrays the Cultural Revolution as being a moving and horrible time, when the old were replaced by the young, and the old began to refer to those around them as "skulls". Most of the film's images are in black and white, which did not bother me, since I can easily adapt to black and white. As I said, this is a fairly run-of-the-mill, 'gotcha' prison drama, and it would be best to not let it deter you from a visit to this film.
Forget the idea that a good film should be a waste of time. Forget the idea that the entire nation will be in a trance by the end. Forget the idea that this film will affect anyone. Forget that. The characters are interesting, the movie is well done, the acting is great. The music is really cool. I can't wait to see it again. What could be wrong?
This is a fascinating film that depicts the life of Jewish refugees in the Nazi era. The film begins with the historian Isaac Kaufmann (played by Gary Oldman) traveling to the Berlin Jewish ghetto to write a book about the life of Jewish prisoners. He receives a visit from a German soldier named Heinrich (played by Christoph Waltz) who informs him that the SS has ordered the ghetto to be sealed and has put Jews in cells. He asks Isaac to leave, but Isaac refuses. Kaufmann insists that Heinrich has no other option and tells him to get on with the project. Kaufmann agrees to take him to the camps, but he learns that Heinrich is being held in the same cell with Nazi soldiers. Kaufmann forces himself to go through the same ordeal he had to endure at the front. He is forced to view the entire life of the inmates as a form of recreation. Kaufmann's wife Anna (played by Angelina Jolie) offers to accompany him, but he refuses. Kaufmann, with the help of his friends, tries to survive the ordeal. They go through a few weeks of the camps, and eventually escape to Italy. Kaufmann's friend, Stefanie (played by Laura Linney) manages to escape and tells him of her life in the camps. Kaufmann tells her that his life is not worth living. She promises to return with him, and Kaufmann gives her the money he needs. The film ends with Kaufmann having survived the ordeal, but his wife has died. He has to return to the camp, to be reunited with his wife. I saw this film in a film class I was taking, and everyone loved it. I highly recommend this film to anyone who wants to learn about the Holocaust. I would highly recommend this film to anyone who wants to learn about the Holocaust.
This movie is far better than most Hollywood movies of the time it was released, and much more appropriate to its subject matter. Few have ever seen it, but many will remember the film as a great movie that brings out a good and uncomfortable truth about the fall of the Soviet empire. It is a good choice for those who remember the East Berlin years. It is not politically correct or accurate, but if you don't take the facts about the fall of the Soviet empire into consideration it can be an interesting watch.
I won't give away anything about the story, as I had hoped it would be enough for me. What I will say is that this movie is a must-see for all people who believe in God and wish to make a better world. I also recommend it to people who would like to learn about the great works of Jesus Christ and who would like to have a Bible lesson before embarking on their lives. I also recommend it to people who are interested in doing the Bible part, especially to those who have no knowledge of the Bible. If you're one of those, this movie is probably not for you. Also, I wouldn't even recommend that you watch it at night, as it is somewhat difficult to see what is going on at night, particularly in the middle of the night, especially when you are traveling. I usually watch it with the lights out, but when I was in a church with several people watching it, it seemed as if I was even getting kind of dizzy. I like all the actors, and I thought that the actors performed well, especially the ones who played Jesus and Paul. I also enjoyed it overall, though it was a little bit long. I rate this movie 7 out of 10 stars.
I was recently on a 'diaries' course at school. I was fascinated by this movie because I've always thought it was a difficult movie to understand. The students enjoyed this movie and asked us to watch it, so I did, even though it was almost three hours long. The movie started off like you would expect. The teacher was showing the history of the Holocaust, in order to introduce the movie. The movie then takes you to a plane landing in Auschwitz. From there the movie went into detail on all the victims. I loved the acting and the way they portrayed all the details. I would recommend this movie to anyone who has not yet seen it. It's a sad movie that could change your perspective on life. I hope it doesn't get too watered down and pass as a normal movie. I hope this movie can be seen by a lot of people. It is so sad and deserves a better rating. Overall: 8/10
Ventura works hard to make us believe that he is truly in the same boat as the actors in this story. Of course, I could have done without the A-list stars, but even without them, the film stands on its own as an excellent piece of work. True, the film is not perfect. There is a certain moment in the film, when Ventura's beautiful wife shows up at the White House and turns her back to the other world. This moment in the film is what makes the film, if not more than the movie. The best of the bunch is directed by a guy who is capable of doing far better work than I have ever seen in my life. Maybe the best performance was Vincent Raima as his and Ventura's son. This is a film that should not be overlooked. If you have the chance, watch the film.
I'm not saying this film is the best film ever, far from it. It has a very beautiful cinematography, it is very gritty but it is well made and will appeal to many. I agree with others who say that the storyline is a little far fetched, but is still well handled and beautifully shot. The performances are great. I think it is the most original movie I've seen in years, and I hope that it will be nominated for several Oscar Awards, which is always a pleasant surprise for me. The only reason it didn't get nominated was that it was over 2 hours long. I'm really looking forward to seeing the film again when it comes out on DVD in January of 2000. It's a shame that it won't make a profit on DVD, because it deserves to be seen.
I was extremely interested in this film. It is about how the UN with the help of Jewish survivors had to endure the systematic killing of men, women, and children during the Holocaust. I'm not a fan of Holocaust movies, but this one is the best I have seen so far. The story is well told and made me feel the pain of those who were involved in the war. This is a great film. It deserves more recognition. I would have given it 8, but some of the acting is not up to par. I would not say this is a masterpiece. But it is well worth seeing. Definitely check it out.
One of my favourite films of all time, and it's because I thought the acting was great and the movie had so much history to it. I don't know where the critics were getting this movie wrong, as there are only a few things that really bugged me. The story line itself was OK, although it had some very unrealistic scenes. The story was very well put together, the cinematography and directing was good, and it was a great film for the whole family to watch. Not everyone will like it, but if you like movies that are historical and set in a time period and you want to see how things were, and what was going on in Europe during WW2, I would recommend this movie.
When I saw the trailers for this movie I was expecting the typical low budgeted movie with the typical effects but what I saw was something a bit different. And something that surprised me was the strong imagery that reminded me of "The Emperor's New Clothes" in the sense that this movie had a strong and very real sense of historical truth. I was also happy that the movie had strong, consistent characters, who kept me guessing as to what would happen next and I was actually shocked that the movie took place in the 1940's. I will say that the cast did a great job, except for this one particular actor who made the movie more confusing. But I have to say that for the most part the acting was superb, and this is where the movie actually excels. Overall I would give this movie a rating of 7.5/10 because while it is not for everyone, I can honestly say that I enjoyed the movie enough to make me wait until it came out on DVD. I definitely think that this movie is worth seeing, however I would have to say that the ending was a little disappointing.
The main thrust of this film is about the social and psychological turmoil of the Jewish people in Europe during the late 1800s. An incident in the thirteenth century that leads to the deportation of the Jews from the ghettos of Eastern Europe to the Nazi extermination camps is discussed and the tension and fear that each side of the debate creates is illustrated. The film is narrated by Danny Janssen and is based on the books by Israel Schreiber and Anatol Lieven. Some people may think this film is an indictment of Jews, but the underlying theme is a plea for understanding and justice and is rather about the suffering of those who were to be eliminated. As far as I can tell, this is the only film that has been made about the Holocaust, and the subject of this film is not unique, but it is very interesting and compelling. If this film is well received, it will be a movie that will not be forgotten.
It's no surprise that a documentary about a long-overdue tragedy such as the World Trade Center attack on Sept. 11, 2001, would show a young couple as the heroes. As a friend of mine commented, they were the good guys and the bad guys at the same time. Unfortunately, the film also takes a break from the main subject and takes a good look at the career of a successful novelist and filmmaker. The film offers only a very superficial look at his life, leaving much of the story untold. What is not mentioned is the hostility of the editor and the militant nature of the producer, who brought a serious threat to the survival of the story. Still, the director has produced a fine documentary, though it's a bit slow at times. It's worth seeing for the lovely photography and the beautiful views of the World Trade Center. I also recommend it for the terrific sound mix and the awesome sound of the old TV and radio stations.
In late 2001, I saw "The Final Days of Rabin" in the "Warner Home Video" store in the Midwest. This movie is a pretty interesting look at the founding of the State of Israel and how the Israelis went about the task of conquering the Land of Israel. However, there is also a more serious side to this story, one of the worst of all wars ever. This movie will never be as memorable as the movie "Apocalypse Now" because it's not really about war. The story in "Rabin" is more about the bitterness and suffering of one soldier and the relative lies and deceits of the people surrounding him. The scenes in this movie are very well done and emphasize the trials and the hardship that the soldiers went through. I personally like the acting in this movie, especially by Gil Gershon. His performance is very realistic and relatable. I do not like that he uses a British accent for the character of "Rabin." He seems more like a Palestinian refugee and does not seem to fit the role. However, in this movie he does an excellent job. The other actors, especially Renee Zellweger, who plays the main character, seem to fit the character quite well. I think that she should be nominated for an Oscar for this role. I have not seen "The Last Days of Rabin" in English so I can't compare it to the original movie. I think that this is a very good movie and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes this subject matter. My rating: 8/10.
A social documentary, The Last Day is a great example of how social and cultural content can be brought to the screen. The movie is based on a true story and covers many aspects of life in Israel during the last year of Yitzhak Rabin's life. The movie follows the actions of many individuals, but focuses on the final days of Rabin. The movie has an excellent cast, and there are several good performances. David Gordon Green plays the lead role, and is very convincing as Rabin. Other noteworthy performances are by Michael Berde and Aron Magid, and are good ones. This is a great movie, and would make a great companion piece to the Oscar winning documentary The Other Side of the Wind.
It's a nice-looking and visually stunning film. The sets are wonderful, the costumes are authentic and the soundtrack is very "John Williams". However, the plot is quite unbelievable (in the traditional sense), since the Holocaust was a very deep issue for Jews, who could not choose between getting killed or killing themselves. I believe that if I were Jewish, I wouldn't have put myself in this situation, since I would have tried to stop killing people who wanted to kill me, at least not as long as they are alive. Nowadays, there are many anti-Semites among the American population, so it's not a surprise that this film is being created. The solution is almost laughable: the Jewish police can shoot some non-Jewish (but seemingly innocent) "terrorists" (with a gun, you see) and get rid of them easily. Therefore, the solution is: there will be a law against anti-Semitism, and the Jewry will get rid of the problem. However, this is completely ridiculous. Many Jews were arrested for their right to speech and assembly, and many still are, and the Jews will be the ones the police will be able to shoot in self-defense, since they are "terrorists" anyway. The Jewish police only chase "terrorists" and not all of the time, who is that Jew who uses a car to run from the police. And then, what does that movie remind us of? What does it remind us of? Germany in the 1940s. Nazis in the old days killed millions of Jews, so they got rid of the problem, didn't they? In the beginning of the film, there is the Jewish officer - the character of Althea Solberg - who is asking the questions of her fellow officers. After the shooting, Althea immediately announces that the incident was a "lone gunman". This seems very odd to me. Would a German officer like Althea Solberg say that it was a "lone gunman"? Since most of the Jews in the movie died in the gas chambers. So, one person in the movie was responsible for killing millions of Jews. Now, to the acting. There is a great actor in the movie. Sam Neill is probably the best. His emotions are realistic, and his acting is convincing. There are many great American actors and actresses (Stallone, Pitt, Freeman) in the movie. The story is well-done, and the actors and actresses do a good job. However, the plot is unrealistic and the characters are a bit too easy to believe. The whole movie is taking place in one long scene, but the time just flies. The end of the movie is not at all believable. There were many details that were left out of the story, so it could have been a better movie. Nevertheless, it's still a good movie to watch with your friends.
Although the characters are interesting and the story is intriguing, the plot is not completely convincing. The documentary style makes the story look more real than the historical reality. The movie also takes a while to develop a rhythm. The main character, Peres, has been a prisoner of war for three years and he is a prisoner of conscience. He wanted to remain a prisoner because he loved his country and he had served his country. He was an officer in the war, but he has lost his beloved wife and children. He also has a brother in a hostile country. The movie includes interviews with family members and former captors, which add to the drama. However, I do not think the movie is brilliant. It is not the history and the psychological problems that I find most interesting, but rather the struggle of Peres against his conscience. He wanted to remain a prisoner, but was just defending his country. I also do not find this movie inspiring. I give it an average rating.
That "Is it a coincidence that "A Few Good Men" was released two years after "The Last Day"? I'm starting to think this might be true.
This was one of the best films I've ever seen. The casting was very good, the directing was superb. I recommend it to anyone who is a lover of film, or the classic and possibly forgotten films of Hollywood. But, I don't know if it was the story itself, or the particular story telling, but the film hit all the marks. It was perfect. As a film, it was about as good as it gets. It would have made a great film in a box set. The best acting, the best music, and the best story. Any true film lover should be very proud of this film. It was a good film, but it's got nothing on a true film. An 8 out of 10.
The movie has two themes: the life of the last day of the Holocaust in Nazi-occupied Poland, and the revenge of the Nazis against the Jews. There are a number of Nazi camps, and the Nazis were trying to exterminate the Jews. This film shows how the Jews went through an amazing ordeal to survive. The ending is excellent, as they were able to travel to Poland, and they were able to tell the story of how they were going to survive. Overall, it is a great film, that shows the need for reconciliation between Jews and the Nazis. The performances are very good, as well as the directing. I can see why some people may not like the movie, but I think that it was quite well made. I rate this film 8/10.
I have seen this film twice now, and I have to say that the second viewing is more enjoyable than the first. The film is very slow in the first half, but once the action starts the movie becomes very exciting. The film is very well done, and is definitely a must see. The acting is excellent, and the cinematography is fantastic. The director of the film, Jonathan Demme, is one of the most important directors of our time. I also liked the fact that he didn't have a traditional story in the film, he was more focused on the characters. The ending is very well done. I recommend this film to everyone, it is a very exciting film.
I don't understand how people can write bad reviews on this movie. I'm not sure if they are all the same person or if they just don't like the movie. I'm not sure if they are the same person, but I think that some of them have very low standards for movies. They want to be able to review it, but they can't be bothered to read a review. That's why I wrote a review. I thought this movie was good, but I think it could have been a little bit better. I don't know how much more they could have done with the story, but it was still good. I think this is one of the best movies of the year.
I saw this film with my wife, who is a professor at a liberal arts college in upstate NY. She and I agreed that the film was a good way to start the semester. I don't know what the director was trying to achieve. Perhaps he was trying to make the film as "artsy" as possible, but I think he was trying to make a film that could be watched by people of all ages and backgrounds, as it is meant to be. The film is not perfect, but it is very good, and I think that it is a film that should be seen by all who see it.
Burt Lancaster plays the lead role as Professor Richard Nixon in a film that features an original plot that puts the president of the United States in a place of authority and responsibility. The film runs 100 minutes and was filmed in South Africa. The story concerns Nixon's resignation from office and the subsequent political crisis that resulted in the resignation of President Johnson. The film begins in 1977 when Nixon's vice-presidential running mate Henry Cabot Lodge (Richard Harris) travels to South Africa to attend a ceremony in support of Nelson Mandela. Lodge is asked to give the presentation to the African National Congress (ANC), an organization that is promoting civil rights in the country. Lodge's mission is to support the ANC and its goals. Lodge's decision to support the ANC is met with disapproval from Nixon, his secretary of state Dean Rusk (Paul Newman), and his adviser Henry Kissinger (Peter Boyle). Nixon and his advisors believe Lodge has no place in the administration, but Nixon reluctantly agrees to give Lodge a two-year assignment to South Africa. Nixon continues to criticize Lodge throughout the assignment, but Nixon decides to give Lodge the responsibility of national security. As a result, Lodge has to carry out the responsibilities of his assignment. Nixon and his advisors find it impossible to understand Lodge's motives for supporting the ANC. Nixon wants to overthrow the ANC, but Nixon also has to keep the peace. Nixon's staff convinces Nixon to demand that Lodge resign his commission. However, Nixon does not fully understand why Lodge supports the ANC and he questions whether he is a legitimate employee of the United States. Nixon's staff tells Nixon that Lodge has met with both the African National Congress and the CIA to express his opposition to the government of South Africa. The president and his advisers are not convinced that Lodge is using the United States to further the cause of the ANC. Nixon believes Lodge's motives are more political than professional. Nixon also does not understand that Lodge is at the top of the African National Congress. He fears that Lodge has become a weapon for the ANC and is advocating their cause. The fact that Nixon's staff believed Lodge had used the United States to further the cause of the ANC is crucial to Nixon's decision not to fire Lodge. Nixon's staff believes Lodge is no longer useful to the United States and is no longer working to promote civil rights. Nixon also has no understanding of the political climate in South Africa. As a result, Nixon and his advisors are not convinced that Lodge is a threat to the government of South Africa. Nixon decides to have Lodge give his speech to the ANC in Washington, D.C. The speech
I have to say, this film reminded me a lot of Godfather. The whole family is sitting around and talking and even the parents, although I've never seen them, talk like they were at a funeral. I think they were there, so that is the only explanation I can think of. But the fact that the daughter, who is the main character, can make a better mother than the father of the whole family in this movie makes you wonder what is going on. And why she can make a better mother than her father? When the father dies, she suddenly realizes that her husband was a nice man, who only wanted to be there for her and she also realized that she was the one who was the most important to him. But she also realized that he didn't even notice her when he was asleep, while he was sleeping next to her. So she decided to use the first best thing she had - her mother - to start her own family. So, at the beginning of the movie, she can't stop thinking about her father. She remembers him and is sad when she is thinking about him. But she also starts to realize how her father should have been, not his parents. Then the only thing she can do is to change her life. So, I think the main reason this movie is so good is that the whole family was so cute and was playing their roles so well. I liked it very much, but I think it was better in a way of Godfather.
I don't understand the negative reviews. This movie is very moving and very informative. I would say it is the best movie about the Holocaust I have seen. It is a wonderful story of a Jewish family that is trying to survive during the Nazi occupation. The acting is superb and the directing is outstanding. The scenes of the Holocaust are haunting and the soundtrack is haunting. This is a movie that should be seen by every person who is not afraid of a little truth.
This is a great film. It tells the story of the last day of the Holocaust, with some great moments of brutality and violence. The film is very well-made and well-acted. It is not a perfect film, but it is very good.
Rabin, the Last Day is an exciting and intense film that gives the viewer a glimpse of the Iranian Revolution of 1979. As a huge fan of the book, I was very happy to see this film. The film does not come off as an anti-Iranian propaganda film, but instead shows a more human side to the events of 1979. This film has two different styles to it. In the first half of the film, Rabin is seen as an innocent young man who is willing to do anything to save his friends, and who is willing to sacrifice his own life for others. In the second half of the film, Rabin becomes a fighter for the freedom of the nation. This film is definitely worth watching.
Rabin is such a sensitive, courageous and inspiring character. His resistance to his own forced defection and his will to live and resist are so believable that it is hard to be opposed to this man. The story is told in such a manner that it does not feel like it is being told in a film. It feels like it is real, and very moving and stirring. The part where he is forced to defection, is a moving moment. The scene of his battle at Beit Hanina is also one of the most powerful scenes I have ever seen. Overall, I feel this is one of the best movies I have ever seen and one of the best films I have ever seen.
At first I saw the title of this film as being one of the most important films of all time. But then I saw that this was a silent film, and I could not make up my mind about the merits of this film. It is not so much the subject of the movie, but the fact that it is a silent film that is important. This is because it is an extremely difficult and painful time to be a silent film maker, especially if one is unable to make films because of the same reason. So, while I think this is a very important film, I think it should not have been titled the "Last Day."
This is one of the few films I've ever seen that completely turns the film into a big controversial debate. From the beginning to the end of the film, I felt that the "plot" was really thin. To me, this made it difficult to keep my attention, but I suppose that the film's subject matter was even more important. The "pro-Israeli" and "anti-Israeli" components of the film were definitely presented in a very biased way. While I didn't feel that it was offensive to Israel, it still made it appear as a "both sides are wrong" film. I have to agree with the people who stated that this film was not meant to be anti-Israel. I think that most of the Jewish population of Israel is against this film, and that many of the people who actually watched it hated it because it is not biased. The film itself was not anti-Israel in the same way that "JFK" was anti-American. The movie was not meant to be anti-Israel. It is meant to be a film about the Jewish people, and their connection with Israel. The fact that it was biased and not based on facts is what made it so great. I think that the characters are so well written that it is difficult to dislike them. I don't think that there is anything wrong with supporting Israel, as long as it is done in a factual way. If you don't support Israel, you're anti-Israeli, and that is what this film is about.
One of the greatest movies of all time and of all time if not THE greatest. Do not judge this movie by the IMDB rating. This movie is a master piece. The performances are great, and the editing and scenery are outstanding. Many directors can only top themselves with superior camera work, and this movie excels in that respect. A modern masterpiece. It is not a fairy tale, it is not an action-packed, action-free movie. It is not a comedy, it is not a drama, it is not an adventure. It is just a beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful movie. And this movie is not a movie, it is a metaphor. A brilliant movie that is a masterpiece and a great, great film. This movie is the only film that I would give a 10. Please, don't watch this movie because of the IMDB rating. Watch it because it is a beautiful masterpiece, and because it is a beautiful masterpiece that is a masterpiece. Watch this movie because it is a masterpiece.
