The storyline of the movie is well done, and you would probably get lost in it if you don't pay attention to every scene. However, I would have liked to see more of Travor's side of the story, because his story was possibly the most interesting one in the entire film. The photography is incredible and the overall feel of the movie is just right. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes Kung-Fu movies, but don't expect a great one. If you go into the movie expecting to see a masterpiece, you'll probably be disappointed, but if you go into the movie expecting to see Kung-Fu movie, you'll be happy with the movie.

In China, it's not common that a martial arts film is adapted from a book but when it's done well, it's a class. Kung Fu Hustle (2010) was a good example. It was adapted from the novels of David Zhang, and while the adaptation is not perfect, it's a good film nonetheless. The film opens with a teaser of a robbery and two hit men, who are once again trained in the art of Kung Fu and are sent to recover some stolen money. The police officer with the case, played by Jason Tsao, is dead, so the two hit men go to a retirement home. There they are welcomed by some grand old men who welcome them and then introduce them to the bodyguard, played by Jian Zhang, the head of the Kung Fu clan. The hit men decide to go to a house in the neighborhood where they are to find the grand old man and while there, they meet another hit man, played by Anthony Wong, and his wife, played by Min Chia-Yuan, who have come to stay with them. They manage to find out that the grand old man is missing, but first they have to find the whereabouts of the bodyguard, who is also missing. But before that, they have to retrieve some money from the missing grand old man. And that's where the story goes on. There are some flaws in the film, like the story, which is not very good, but the acting is OK, the fights are good and it is a decent Kung Fu film. The story goes on and on and it's not as good as Kung Fu Hustle but it's still a good Kung Fu film. I don't understand why I rated this a 7, because it's not that good. But if you like Kung Fu films, I recommend it.

The acting was good, especially from Wong Jing and Ching Siu Tien. Ching Siu Tien was particularly good in her role, as she became one of the better actresses of the 1990s and early 2000s. However, the performance of Yun Fei and Tony Leung were not as good.
