Evan becomes increasingly involved with Emma and the two women begin to fall in love. What starts out as a love story quickly becomes more and more disturbing as the movie goes on. This movie is an extremely interesting study on the condition of child abuse, the very disturbing effects it has on a child and the way that a parent can put that child through such a life and then forget about it. The movie is brilliant because the ending is very surprising. It is not so much of a happy ending as the film says that the story isn't over but the audience has been kept awake for two hours. It's not a happy ending at all but it's a very unusual ending for a movie. It's an ending that I found very disturbing. The last scene is very shocking and I found it very disturbing. It is not a happy ending because the ending is very disturbing. I'm not sure why this movie is so popular as I haven't seen it in many years.
