Five years ago, expert sea diver and Naval Captain Jonas Taylor encountered an unknown danger in the unexplored recesses of the Mariana Trench that forced him to abort his mission and abandon half his crew. Though the tragic incident earned him a dismissal from service, what ultimately cost him his career, his marriage and any semblance of honor was his unsupported and incredulous claims of what caused it - an attack on his vessel by a mammoth, 70-foot sea creature, believed to be extinct for more than a million years. But when a submersible lies sunk and disabled at the bottom of the ocean - carrying his ex-wife among the team onboard - he is the one who gets the call. Whether a shot at redemption or a suicide mission, Jonas must confront his fears and risk his own life and the lives of everyone trapped below on a single question: Could the Carcharodon Megalodon - the largest marine predator that ever existed - still be alive - and on the hunt?

I found the story a bit weak and the acting was disappointing at times, but overall I enjoyed it. The only problem I had was with the CGI (the CGI itself was very convincing) so if you don't mind the CGI, this movie is worth a watch. In fact, I'd recommend it to anyone who liked Cloverfield and Riddick. Give it a try if you are a fan of those movies.

I have to agree with a lot of the negative comments. As a horror fan, I was a little disappointed. The film was very slow in the beginning. At first I was worried that the characters wouldn't be developed enough. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the character development of Edward. I don't think there would have been a "more interesting" character had it not been for Ewan McGregor. He did a wonderful job of showing the things Edward wasn't like, while still showing how the core of the character was so strong. He added an extra dimension to Edward. Overall, the film was kind of slow. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who has not seen the original films. My opinion of the film is that it is good. It is actually a good sequel. It does a great job of showing you what happened to everyone, but it doesn't explain anything. I am happy that they took the time to explain what happened, even if it was not necessary. It adds an extra dimension to the characters and their personalities. I would definitely recommend the film to those who have not seen the original films.

While I felt that this movie was great, the low-budget trailer really piqued my interest. I couldn't wait to see it. It's great, I've been waiting for this movie for a long time. The problem is that it can't match the rest of the movie. The story starts off great. It has some interesting ideas that can go into a bigger picture. But then we go back to the low-budget trailer and it's missing everything. Even the best of the trailer is missing the better parts. Some parts are hilarious but that's about it. The ending was a bit depressing and a bit cheesy. I'm not a fan of that. This is a great movie, it's really good. I thought the effects were pretty good, and the special effects were good. I give it a 7 out of 10. I know some people are saying that it's too easy for people to predict what is going to happen, but they only predict about two lines. The movie is full of action, but I think that they were trying to make it interesting and funny and suspenseful. It has some romance, but I think that they are more like side characters that we can relate to, and they don't get any time to develop. Overall, it's good, but there are other better movies out there.

Following in the footsteps of Aliens (1979), Predator (1987), and Alien (1979) , it is an action film that introduces the idea of a face-hugging alien called the Meg to the world. The title is taken from a key location in the film: a giant eyeball - a particular, seemingly indestructible, monster - that appears during the first third of the film, giving a few scenes a uniquely original look. The other great thing about this film is that it's not just a traditional action film. There is a serious social and cultural commentary to it. The Meg is a generic species with a pretty human looking skeleton, that is given the personality and complex of the whole species. Although some think the Meg is just a bad CGI alien, there is still a social message embedded in this film, that should have been utilized better. For example, the film is talking about the view of humanity being on the wrong side of the world, that has been pretty common in recent history. It is somewhat a disappointment that the movie doesn't try to justify this idea and instead gives its audience the right to do the same. It is not that the Meg is too advanced or so intelligent, but that the idea is that we are only in a very privileged position in society, and that, even if we are more advanced, we are still not very good at our jobs. That is why we don't want to progress too quickly, and that we need to work for that level of advancement. That would mean becoming better scientists and engineers, to make the world a better place. It is a shame that the movie is not quite as interesting as the other two, because it is a perfect example of how a serious and interesting subject should be handled. For example, the movie mentions that our society is part of a huge conspiracy to protect our world from an unknown threat. What does this mean? Well, it can be assumed that the Meg is just a cartoon character, or it could be a creature that only appeared in a computer game that is thought of by some as real. It could be something to do with the secret government. It could be something to do with what happens in the movie. Whatever, it is still an interesting and good film. A good way to spend an evening. 7 out of 10

It was not a new take on what I thought was a really bad idea. I read reviews that said it was original, original, original. I was happy to see it wasn't. But it was really good. There was so much I liked about this movie. It is something about the plot, the characters, the action, the special effects. It was just all good. The fight scenes were pretty decent too. They really worked well. When you watch it, you have to remember that you can't compare it to a movie like Terminator 2, which is a really bad movie. You will never ever see a scene like that from Terminator 2. And I don't think the movie will get away with it. The acting was okay. Everyone was doing their roles well. But the actors should be able to write themselves. This is the biggest complaint I have with this movie. The script was too long. But this is a movie that needs to be longer. So that is a good thing. The movie was about 20 minutes longer than I thought it would be. In a movie like this, we do not need an excuse for a longer movie. But this was not an excuse. It was the plot. The plot. It just needed to be longer. This is a really great movie to see and I would recommend it. It is not for everyone though. The bad reviews will cause the movie to fail. It could be, but I think this movie is doing okay and will make a profit. I will never buy this movie, but I will probably recommend it to people. There are some people out there that will love this movie. This is just something that everyone should see. It is a great movie that will entertain you and make you think. This is a movie that you should watch.

My wife and I went to see this movie with the expectation that it would be dull and boring, which it was not. We both were totally taken by the cleverly written plot, the action and special effects, the excellent special effects and the great acting. While I'm not normally a fan of special effects, they were so good I didn't mind that they were used. The plot was very interesting, the acting was good, and the special effects were of the highest quality. Overall I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to be entertained.

First off, I was actually surprised that this movie wasn't nominated for an Oscar, because it's definitely not an Oscar-winning movie. But it was a good movie nonetheless. This movie is not about aliens and monsters. It's about men and their families. The movie is based on a Stephen King short story. So it's not a suspense-filled movie. It's a well-made movie, and the performances are great. The movie is good for a date night, but don't expect it to be great. The story is simple and to the point. There are also some very funny moments. Some people might not like the movie. But I thought it was a very good movie. The acting is very good and the actors played their roles very well. The movie is fun and worth watching. You won't regret watching it. I give this movie a 7/10.

Well it might be a little too much predictable for the average movie goer, but it is still a great zombie flick, the first half a bit much. It takes a while to get you used to it, but once you get used to it, it's actually a pretty enjoyable film. The acting is quite good, and they both did a great job, especially Kristen Stewart who plays Ashley Rain, the nurse who takes care of the zombie. It's not really a sequel, but more like a remake of Dawn of the Dead (2004). But if you don't like zombies, you won't like this film.

Roland Emmerich (director) put the Meg back on the big screen last year with his "Inferno". Now he will return with "The Meg". The movie had some excellent elements: intense acting by pretty much everyone, cool special effects (helped by this film's budget). However, it's hard to separate the movie from the first. The movie was more of a sequel, just with the same plot, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It's more of an evolution of the first movie. But if you didn't like the first, you may not like the second. The acting is the most obvious thing in this movie. All the actors are pretty good. The actors are well known, and usually act better in these type of movies. So this movie has a really good cast, but it's hard to get used to the movie because of the acting, because you don't have to look at the script too closely. So the acting may not be as good as the first movie. The characters are the main issue with the movie. There's a lot of old faces in the movie, including some older and younger characters (in different ways). It can get annoying. Also the older actors (like The Rock and Harry Dean Stanton) are getting better. So some of them may seem stale in comparison to some of the younger actors. A lot of the old actors have come back for this movie. They're starting to grow up. They're getting older. So when they're doing this movie, they can't act as well as they did in the first movie. So their performances are not as good. However, they are still doing good. They are still getting better. If you look at the older actors, there's a big variety of roles in the movie, which is very interesting. In general, this is a solid movie. It's really not that great, but there's nothing really bad. It's just a good, fun movie. It's definitely not that great, but it's still pretty good. It's definitely worth a watch. *1/2

While not on the same level as the Paranormal Activity franchise, The Meg has its moments. It has a great cast and there are some good ideas that could have worked very well. There is a very good storyline and while there is no religious themes, it does seem to be a movie that appeals to everyone, including the religious. The storyline is pretty simple but the acting is great. The best performance comes from Michael Pena. He makes you feel for his character and even though he is an unimportant character, he manages to pull off an amazing performance. It is an underrated film. The movie is entertaining and a great action movie that can be enjoyed by just about everyone. The Meg will probably not be a huge hit, but it has its moments that makes it worth the watch. 7/10

Now this is a movie I can stand up and cheer for. If I saw a zombie flick with a plot to be able to understand, a good plot, an end that was shocking, and a good sense of humour then I would probably sit through it. However, I sat through this one, and if I had to compare it to anything else in the past 6 months then I would say that it is in a league with Aliens, the Ring, Predator, and even the Blair Witch Project. It is quite a mixed bag. I can stand up and cheer, but it is pretty awful and tedious. It is hard to take a movie seriously if the cast is that average, and so is the plot. We have a group of people from around the world stranded on an island for no apparent reason. As they die we learn of the rest of the world and how they are dealing with this particular situation. We learn about the nature of the virus, the geographical features of the island, and how the infected are being killed, and we are simply waiting for the next act. You will need a brain to watch this film, because the director has a very imaginative sense of the world and the characters of the world. There is a point where the people on the island see that the infected are not the only threat, and we also see the various cultures of the island. All of these are in complete contrast to the main character, who is quite literally a zombie. While this might seem very different to the usual genre, and the directing might have been different, the movie still could have been better. They tried to include a sense of realism in the acting and there is also a movie with zombies on the same topic, but it wasn't as good. If you are looking for a fun sci-fi movie, with a solid plot, and that can stand up on it's own then give this one a chance. It is in a league with some of the greats, but it is still not near those greats.

I was not expecting much from this movie. I just thought it was another annoying one with a stupid plot. However, the movie was pretty good. The special effects were awesome and really the only reason I give this a 7. So I say go watch it. You won't be disappointed.

When I saw the trailer for "The Meg", I was a bit hesitant to see this movie. I heard that it was not really about the dinosaurs anymore, and I'm not really sure what that is. I know it is about the people in the movie who are trying to save the world from a being that has been genetically engineered by aliens to be intelligent and big and then mutated to become a super big animal. The trailer was kind of vague on that part. But now that I have seen the movie, I really do like this movie. It has a great cast, the story is not that bad, and it is definitely not the worst movie I have seen. I will not give away the ending, but I will say that it is an enjoyable movie to watch. It does not get too much into the science behind the genetic alteration, and the movie does not dwell too much on the characters and plot. It is just about the big beast that was genetically engineered to be the size of a ten year old boy, and the people who try to stop it. Now, as to the actual story of the movie. It is a bit confusing to understand, but not really bad at all. The plot was kind of weak, but I think that it was well put together. The only thing that I did not like was the CG/effects in the movie. There was nothing really I liked about the CG or effects. So to sum it up, this movie is not the best movie I have ever seen, but it is still a really good movie. It is not that amazing, but it is not as bad as some people have said, and if you are a fan of the franchise, then this is the movie for you.

I was not expecting much from this movie when it came out and now that I have watched it I am very surprised. I had a couple of very good expectations for this movie as it seemed to be quite a reboot. If it was more of an action and horror movie I would have liked it a lot more but I think it still held up quite well. It is not perfect but it does have it's flaws. The first thing I noticed was that it took a little bit of time to get to the action. They spend a lot of time setting up and trying to do a good job of the cast. The bad thing about that is that the movie feels like they are trying to do a "Hype" movie. It is not really an action movie, I mean the movie is really low budget but I think it is done well and so are the actors. I think they tried to make it so that it does look really cool but it does not work. There is a lot of slow motion and really cool monster fight scenes. I am not talking about the actors but the special effects. The effect are really cool and really different than what they normally do. The movie is short at nearly 90 minutes. They really try to get to the action fast and fast. In the first hour the action is really slow and boring and you cannot care about what happens to the characters. But then the movie really picks up and the action really picks up. I think the actors are doing a great job and the special effects are really cool. I am a big fan of special effects so I was really impressed with the effects. The bad thing about the effects is that they are not really used very much. Most of the effects are seen in a few scenes and not much is used. They did try to use them a little more but I think that they still left it quite hard to see what is going on. Overall I think it was good but I am not a fan of the acting. The characters are pretty boring. I think the actors are doing a good job but it is not enough to make the movie worth watching. If you are looking for a good action movie with some interesting monsters and a few fun effects this movie is not for you.

For a movie that had an almost unanimous response from critics, it was a bit of a letdown. I have to admit I really liked the premise of the film, but I did have a hard time getting myself to care for the characters. The characters are not likable, they're not realistic, and they don't feel like real people. Also, the acting was really poor, and it really gets in the way of the story. It's also quite difficult to care about any of the characters in this film. There is one really interesting character in this film that I actually liked, but he wasn't developed that well. The first half of the film is really good, and is the kind of film that should have been better. I'm giving it a 7 out of 10, which is fair.

The Meg (2014): Dir: James Wan / Cast: Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Nick Frost, Sam Worthington, Christopher Mintz-Plasse: A group of space shuttles on the run from a killer virus start to die off until a military investigator becomes the sole survivor and has to track down a scientist who has been researching the virus and its mysterious cause. A big budget film with the usual themes of loss, isolation, and survival. The plot has been done in other films and the script has the typical cliches. The one saving grace is Charlize Theron who gives a great performance. Her character does not show her character. She is stuck in an alien environment. She does not know the language and must use human intuition to survive. She has to learn to adapt to the environment. She has to adjust to a man who is as much of a leader as she is. There are many questions that come up as she is stuck in a confined space. Chris Hemsworth plays a military investigator. He knows that this is a case of an alien virus that could kill everyone on the planet. He does not want to be a hero. He is a scientist who has been working on the virus for years. He has the abilities to detect the virus before it reaches humans. He also has a robotic arm that can manipulate objects. Nick Frost plays the scientist who is working on the virus. He has the ability to use his body to a degree. Christopher Mintz-Plasse plays the scientist who is developing a weapon to stop the virus. He is a great villain with his trademark mustache. It is a typical action film that takes place in space. It is a nice way to kill an hour and a half. There are many jokes and references to other films. It is a fairly standard entry in the franchise. Score: 7 1⁄2 / 10

The Meg is actually a very clever film. After the climactic ending, there is an ominous foreboding that permeates throughout the film. As a result, it is very difficult to shake the feeling that something is about to happen. For a movie based on an old comic book, there are certain things that make it even more satisfying. As such, this film has a unique and original plot. It doesn't take itself too seriously, making it feel as if it is in the middle of something important. The cast is also a great help. Sigourney Weaver is as strong as ever as the Queen, and a great casting decision was made by casting her as she was a perfect fit for the role. The rest of the cast are all very solid and bring their best to the project. Overall, The Meg is not an easy film to enjoy. In fact, it is really something you have to really pay attention to. The film has a really unique plot and is really fun to watch. While it is not something you would be too surprised by, The Meg is something that you have to take it for what it is and keep an open mind to it. The Meg is great entertainment and worth seeing.

I haven't seen Meg like others have said, but I was surprised to see this was rated 7.5/10 on IMDb. I thought it was a very well done movie, and very well made. The characters are extremely well developed and believable. The story is gripping and believable. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I also enjoyed the action scenes very much. There were many action scenes which kept me on the edge of my seat. There are several bloody and gory scenes, but it was worth it to see how the actors are killed. I also enjoyed the ending. I enjoyed the fact that they didn't show how they die. It makes it a bit more of a shocker to see them dying. The acting was fantastic. The cinematography was superb. It looked like a movie that you would expect from a movie that was shot in India. This movie is worth watching. I would give this movie a 9/10.

First of all, I really liked this movie, it is well thought-out. The story is actually very original, and I don't think the filmmakers were trying to copy every horror movie out there. If you want to watch a movie that is a combination of a movie like "Twister" and "The Thing", you'll probably like this. There is a lot of scary parts in the movie, especially in the end. I can't say I was scared, but I did think I was a little. However, I do have a problem with the ending. After I saw the ending, I thought that was the best part of the movie. I was expecting the next scene to be like this one, but it wasn't. The end wasn't that good either. However, the acting in the movie was very good, even the kids. I would give this movie a 8 out of 10.

Tammy photo

This movie is another of those silly action movies where the characters are like this: first person, cute girl, normal guy, zombie, strong man, smart man, good guy, stupid guy, etc. There are even a couple of teen girls who aren't really important but are not totally irrelevant. The movie doesn't really focus on any of these characters too much but that's okay because the director does that. You can guess which one of the characters is the most important and who the rest are. For example, if you watch this movie you will know that there is no character who is in the first half of the movie who isn't important in the second half. So this movie is kind of like that. The actors are not bad, the directing is good, the movie is not boring, there are a lot of twists and I don't think that this movie is exactly a 4 out of 10. I think that I enjoyed this movie more than I expected and that's a good thing.

Not a classic horror movie, but definitely a decent sci-fi horror flick. With some good ideas thrown in the mix (which I will not reveal here) and some really eerie moments. I'd rate this movie around a 7/10. Definitely worth seeing if you have a chance to catch it. Definitely worth renting if you have nothing else to do on a Sunday afternoon.

The Meg is a fantastic film, and is the most enjoyable I've seen in a long time. It is one of the few films that I actually enjoyed as much as I did when I was younger, and I think it is one of the best films of the year. I would say that the story was good, the acting was good, and the special effects were good. I would also say that it was very well made. The film was a well done homage to the 70's and 80's, and also shows that it is possible to make a film that is as great as the original. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes action, or sci-fi, or just a great film. 9/10

I thought the first Meg was a lot of fun. This sequel is much better. The characters have a lot more depth to them. I felt that Meg's sister, Jane, was more sympathetic and had more depth than the first. The plot is actually better. It's more realistic and less contrived. The special effects are better as well. The last 20 minutes of the film are absolutely awesome. I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoyed the first Meg. It's a great sequel and definitely worth watching. I think that you'll like this film.
