Two aging fathers - one a King, one his courtier - reject the children who truly love them. Their blindness unleashes a tornado of pitiless ambition and treachery, and their worlds crumble. Tender, violent, moving, and shocking, King Lear is considered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written. This will be an explosive, charged and contemporary retelling of Shakespeare's epic masterpiece in the intimate setting of the Minerva Theatre.

I saw this film on the big screen, and I loved it. The story is very interesting and the actors and actresses did an amazing job. I would recommend this film to anyone who loves Shakespeare, or anyone who loves a good story. I love how it ends, I have to tell you. I think that this film should be in all major film festivals. Everyone should see this film. I will never get tired of it, and I would recommend this film to anyone.

This is one of the best stage plays I have ever seen. Shakespeare was also a great dramatist. The characters are wonderfully portrayed. It's as if they were written for the stage. The performances are spectacular. The cast is amazing. Everyone in this production is perfectly cast. It's hard to believe that Shakespeare was a peasant, but he was a true human being. The costumes and sets are incredible. I am so glad that the Royal Shakespeare Company has created a stage version of this great play. This production is as good as it gets. It's a must-see for Shakespeare fans. I give it a 10.

This is the only Shakespeare play I've seen, and I'm glad I did. The characters in the play were developed well, especially Lear. There was an early scene that was so bad that it was funny. The women were all wonderful, as was the family. The staging was well done. And it had some very beautiful settings, particularly the forest. But I'm not going to say that this is the best play in the world. I love Shakespeare. I read the original "Hamlet" several years ago. It's a great play. I read the modern adaptation. I'm a great fan of Richard Burton. I've seen this play many times. I loved it when I first saw it. I thought it was a very good adaptation. It is a wonderful play. It's much better than the modern adaptation. I think I would like to see the modern play. I think it would be much better than this version. I think it would be a more appropriate version than this one. And I'm very glad I saw this version. I think this version is the best adaptation of the Shakespeare play.

The main reason to see this movie is to see Tom Hiddleston. It's a big challenge for him to play Shakespeare in the modern day, but he succeeds. I would say that he has the best performance of the movie. I think it's a good effort, and I have to give him a lot of credit. The movie is a bit of a mess. It's not Shakespeare, but it's not horrible either. It's not a masterpiece either, but it's not a terrible movie either. It's a decent movie, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a good movie. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Shakespeare and the history of England. 7/10

The first time I saw this film, I thought it was an incredibly exciting and poetic film, so much so that I could not understand the title. But I soon discovered it was a modern day adaptation of a Shakespeare play. I was fascinated, and now I know why. King Lear is a fantastic film. It has an amazing cast, which includes the wonderful Colin Firth, the young and promising Liv Tyler, as well as the incredible Richard E. Grant, and the amazing Maggie Smith, who also starred in the wonderful Richard II. It is a wonderful, well acted film that explores the themes of death and revenge in the most interesting way. It is also an incredibly beautiful film. I cannot recommend this film enough. This film has everything a great film should have. If you are a fan of the Bard, or the play, this is definitely one of your favorites.

I am a huge fan of Shakespeare and this is my favourite production. I have never seen the other two productions. This is the best of the three. The first performance in Stratford on Avon (2004) was good, but I think this was a bit better. The second performance was the best, I think this was the best. I have never seen the other two. I was really excited to see the film and I really like the costumes and the scenery. It was really beautiful and I loved the costumes. The sets and costumes were so rich and I loved the scenery. It was so very different from the other productions. The musical score was really good and it really fit in. I love the music and the film and I really loved it. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

I didn't expect this movie to be very good, but it was. I expected it to be a dramatic Shakespeare re-telling with the Bard's usual shakespearean vocabulary. And it is, but it's also an attempt to bring a modern audience into the "heritage" of Shakespeare. The cinematography is very good, the lighting and use of light is very strong, and it is extremely clever. This is not just a "talky" movie, or a "silly" movie. It is very intelligent, and the director knows exactly how to get the point across. It's a wonderful movie, and I highly recommend it.

The movie "King Lear" was one of the most important plays ever written. It's a serious piece of work, and it was a very good movie. But the story itself is rather complicated, and it requires a lot of concentration. The actors have a lot of talent, but the movie is a bit over-dramatic. It is a bit long, and it is a bit over-long. The ending is a bit rushed. The cast is very good, but they have a lot of talent. The movie is very well made, and the music is very good. But I think it is a little bit too long, and the story is a bit over-dramatic. I think it is a good movie, but it is a bit over-dramatic.

I saw this film a couple of weeks ago, and it was awesome. The story is simple and yet very effective. It is about the relationship between Lear and his wife, and how they struggle with how they want to be in their relationships. Lear tries to go through a little trouble to achieve what he wants. He was going to take his wife's name, and he was going to leave her. But after he realizes that she wants to stay, he comes up with a plan to stay, and he will accept her as his wife. The story is so simple and yet so good. It is the story of love, and how love can break through the difficulties and fights of life. The film does a great job of telling the story of Lear and his family. I think that all audiences will like this film.

My friends and I, like everyone, thought that the movie was great. But I was shocked when we saw it in the theaters. I didn't want to go back to the theater and see it again. But I wanted to see it again, and I did. This movie is about the importance of learning. This is a good movie. And I love it.

I was a big fan of the Shakespearean version of King Lear (Shakespeare's version of Shakespeare's Lear) and I've been a fan of the original theatrical production ever since. I was even a big fan of the 2009 version with Martin Freeman and the 2007 version with Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter. So I was interested in seeing the 2011 version with Hugh Grant and Julie Walters. I am glad to say that I liked it. The 2011 version is not as good as the 2009 version. It is a little longer, and there is less dialogue. I also thought that Hugh Grant's character was a little too over the top. But overall, I think that this is a great movie. I think it is very enjoyable and I think that it is a great story. It is a very good movie and I recommend it to anyone who loves Shakespearean adaptations of Shakespeare's plays.

I have watched this play countless times and every time I am amazed by the powerful portrayal of the tragedy. I'm not a Shakespeare buff, but I've read the play a few times, and I know it pretty well. The part where Lear's hand is cut off, is one of the most horrifying scenes I've ever seen. The King, if you have not seen it, is a wonderful man who would never have used a hand like that, but he has a passion for justice and loves his wife. He is respected, and loved by everyone, except for his son, who is abusive and ignorant. The part where Lear and Guido argue and why is best left to the viewer. The play is a tragedy, and it's important to tell the story. If you are familiar with the play, you'll see that the actors have worked to perfect the script. This is a great play, and one of the best of Shakespeare's work.

This is an excellent movie. You have to see it to believe it. It's the first one I've seen that includes the worst scenes in the film and the best ones. (The scene with the old woman and the lion.) I highly recommend it.

This is a superb production, every detail of the script is brought to the screen. It is an excellent job by the cast, the producers and everyone involved. This is the sort of production which makes me wonder why it is so rare. The BBC has done such a good job with the production of the recent production of the Peter Pan series that it is not surprising that the BBC's Shakespeare productions have always been excellent. However, this is a much better version. The production is both faithful to the original text and has many important changes. The cast, especially the lead actors, are excellent. This is a very difficult production to make work. It is not only an adaptation of a great play, it is a great adaptation of a great play. The BBC has been doing this for years and I hope it continues. It is a pity that it is not an award winning production, but it is not a disappointment. I was very impressed. It is an extremely important production and should be seen by all who love Shakespeare.

I can't believe I'm the first person to mention this masterpiece of a film. This is one of the greatest films ever made. The performances by all the actors are superb. I can't remember a performance from this film which was not top-notch. I think that is due to the director, Stanley Kubrick, who created a masterpiece that will remain forever in the history of cinema. The film is divided into two parts: the first is about Lear's childhood and the second is about his young adult years. In this part we see Lear in a coma. The second part deals with his real life and is about how he became a great playwright. It is a very interesting and emotional film. It is a very well done film. If you haven't seen it, watch it now. You will not regret it.

The cinematography is excellent, but the lighting and sound is brilliant. It's difficult to watch this film without making comparisons with Shakespeare's original, but the truth is that the play has been changed many times. While I was watching it, I found myself thinking "This is a film that's very different from the original" and "This is a film that's very different from Shakespeare". It's because Shakespeare is in the story. The King of England is now a bad guy. The scenes of King Lear are not the same as the original. But the film still has it's charm. The acting is great. Julianne Moore is so good in this film that I wonder how she would do if she didn't act. She gives a great performance. Helen Mirren, in my opinion, was brilliant. Her performance in King Lear is one of the best I have ever seen. Hugh Grant was very good as the King of England. The scenery is beautiful and the acting is great. But the one aspect of the film that I found to be lacking is the music. The score is good, but it is a bit lacking. I'm not sure if it's the fault of the film or the score, but it doesn't fit the movie. The film is worth watching. But the music is lacking, and the film is not for everyone.

If you are a Shakespeare scholar you might find this movie a bit hard to follow. It has a lot of visual references to Shakespeare and his plays, but if you are a Shakespeare scholar, this movie will not be for you. It is a very well made movie with great acting. It is not a movie that is so great that you would want to see it a second time, but it is definitely worth the watch. The acting is very good. It is not your typical Shakespeare movie. It is a movie that is very good at what it is trying to do. I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to see a good Shakespeare movie.
