The film is based on the classic novel by the same name, which is quite similar to The Shawshank Redemption. The story is about a man named Chiang Kai-shek (Jackie Chan) who was a prisoner for 13 years. He was eventually released in 1959, and went to New York, where he became a newspaper reporter. However, he soon became a celebrity, and his fame brought him into conflict with the government. He was arrested in 1965, and sent to a prison in Shandong Province. However, he was not there for the crime of treason. Instead, he was sent to Shandong because his father had been arrested for treason and sent to Shandong. After his father was released, he went to Shandong to live with his mother and sister. The film is a very emotional and heart-wrenching story, and it is hard to not cry at times. The film also has some very funny parts. Jackie Chan does an excellent job as the main character, and he is one of the best actors in the world.
